CNA short rant

Ok...I am a nursing student about to enter my 2nd year but at the moment I am a CNA working LTC. Today I was rather annoyed with the nurses. They complain about how we don't do our jobs but when they're sitting on their butts and we're trying to get our residents fed and tell me that it really really ****** me off. Seriously nurses if you want your patient to get a little something in his stomach so that you can give him his pills, please go do it yourself as you will be down there anyways. When I'm trying to feed 3 different residents and then go pick up and chart the hall trays I don't have the time to go do something you can do yourself, whether you think it's your job or not. I do my job, I help other people with theirs, other CNAs and a few of the nurses help me with mine. I can't stand these nurses who think they are above the "menial" tasks of a CNA. Ok, sorry just needed to rant on that. This wasn't the only irritation of the day but it was the most obnoxious.

I feel ya! I'm glad I choose to ba a CNA before being a nurse. It helps me to know the CNA's job and what kind of nurse I want to be to them.

When I read stuff like this I wounder how much nurse like there license? I'm sure they know CNA's work under there license. When it comes down to it anything we do can jeopardize there license.
