Nursing Students CNA/MA

I'm looking to challenge the CNA exam in Florida, I have been a home aide for months now and I have a RN willing to tutor me but she doesn't know much about the CNA exam, what to expect, good study material and stuff like that. I'm really in need of advice from CNAs and their words of wisdom if anyone could help me I'd be greatly appreciative!

Are you sure you are able to challenge the exam? I don't know about FL, but that's only a right reserved for Nursing Students here in SC.

Best thing to do would be to find out who administers the exam, and get a skills book from that organization.

The exam is not tailored to real-world, and each state is a bit different in regards to how they want you to perform them.

The skills part of the exam will have you do 5 skills, one of them being hand washing and one being a measurement of some kind. There are steps you have to do in order, (ie. Knock, introduce yourself, informed consent, saftey etc. for each skill.) The steps pertaining to safety can't be missed or you will fail the skill. You can only fail one skill, and it can't be hand washing.

YouTube will probably help you out a lot.
