CNA and Phlebotomy

Hi, my apologies if this is not in the correct topic area. My question is, I will soon have my certification as a CNA I and I already have my phelobotomy certification.

1. What is the best job for me...as a CNA with phlebotomy or as Phlebotomist with CNA cert?

2. Does having both benefit me?

3. Does it mean a higher salary to have both regardless of which path I take?

I am a CNA ( refered to as LNA here in NH ) and as far as I am aware a phlebotomy job pays better but the job is harder to find. CNA jobs are much more accessible. Being certified in Phlebotomy always makes your resume look much more appealing. May I ask where you completed your Phlebotomy training? I am taking a course through American Red Cross but the program is only 20 hours long

I'm in NC. I took my phlebotomy course through a local company that does drug screenings and phlebotomy services. I was very pleased because it was a small class with a lot of very close supervision.

I would find a position that would train you in phlebotomy for free. I got a job as a tech at a local hospital and they trained me for free. Obviously I don't have a phlebotomy certification but I am able to do labs and blood draws within my hospital.
