I'm a FL CNA I think most people voluntarily burn them after they become LPN's. j/k! That's a good question though. I would think the person would just let it lapse maybe... any other thoughts or facts?

Your CNA certificate stays active until you choose to renew it or let it expire. You'll still need to be current on your CNA CEUs, if you choose to renew. And if you hold a CNA certificate and a LPN license, you'll always be held to the standard of your LPN license, even if you're working as a CNA.

Thanks! I have been wondering that one, and I like to keep all my cert / licenses even if there not used.
