Are there not any MAs on here?

I haven't seen many topics about MAs. I had a couple questions about the program. I'm not sure if the program I am starting on Monday goes over EKGs? Isn't this on the NHA exam? I am wondering if all Medical Assistant programs include ekg training? I would hope so if I'm going to be tested on it to get certified. Does anyone know how intense the EKG training is in the MA program? I really wanna work in telemetry but even taking an EKG class 2 years ago I wasn't able to get a job, so I was hoping to take the MA program with EKG and get certified in both. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

In class you do need to know the PQR...ect of the wave. Also a little about waves but don't stress to much over it it's easy stuff. The real part that I do almost everyday in work is hooking people up properly. Pay attention to that part of class it's the most important, and one time the shy new me didn't want to ask the patient to take off his jewelry, it really can cause problems with the EKG. It isn't that bad.

I went to MA school over 10 years ago. You learn the basics of an EKG.

I'm not sure about a tele job. That would depend on the hospital, I guess.
