Chamberlain RN-BSN online Graduates out there??

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Can any of the graduates from the online RN-BSN program from Chamberlain tell me how the institution coordinates the research class or classes without going to a clinical sight??? I'm seriously contemplating the decision to go with Chamberlain, but I don't want ANY surprises after giving them my money.

I know their website clearly states that there are no clinicals. What EXACTLY does that mean?? Am I not going to need to go to any medical facilities to do research, observations, etc. in order to complete assignments, or papers?? I need/want to know this up front. Will this program be strictly online or is there a hidden secret that will surface once they have my money?

I want to hear this from nurses who have actually graduated from Chamberlain, because I feel like my enrollment advisor wants to tell me what I want to hear in order to fulfill his quota.

I have two new graduates from Chamberlain who work on my floor. They both said they had no problems getting jobs once they obtained their BSN's.

Thank you for sharing! I just wanted to make sure before I invested in this RN to BSN program that finding employment and furthering my education at another institution wouldn't be a problem with a BSN degree from Chamberlain

i completed this program in 12/2013 in 12 months ( 3 classes at a time. completely doable, I had a baby and worked full time). AS others said, there is no clinicals, and all of my instructors that required papers based on healthcare offered an alternative to new grads or those that are not currently working. Not currently working will not hinder your studies at all.

as for finding a job with this BSN, my nurse manager was an instructor at this school and my hospital even had affiliation with them. They are accredited, and most nurses end up going back to school online. Finding a job will depend on the job market.

Thanks for the feedback! I've decided to continue my education with Chamberlain. I'm impressed with the speed and flexibility of the program.
