Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

Thanks Everyone! I got an 80. I think it was similar to the hesi study guide. I felt I was well prepared for the test. They gave us 5 hours to take it, so you have more than enough time.

Focus on fractions, decimals, conversions, and some percentages. The reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary were a breeze. Also chemistry, a&p, and biology are on the test with about 30 questions in each section.

Don't stress too much over the science because its not part of the composite score they just want to see what you know.

So do they just really just use yr reading and math scores??

Yes. The math, vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension had 55 questions per section.

There were 2 other girls that finished at the same time I did and they also passed.

I took the Hesi today and passed :). Now I'm waiting on my advisor to call me back. Hope I can get in for January.

Congrats. I know you're glad that's over. I meet with student services in the am. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Congrats MissFutureBSN! Hope to see you in January! Teah please let us know the scoop! Still on pins and needles patiently awaiting. : )

Everything went good. What a great bunch of folks. I know everything from start to finish. The only thing I need to do is take out a private loan. Ugh......I am going start at my credit union. I will be done by September 2015 yes.

Teah8177 so happy for you!! Did they mention any scholarships?? I am concerned about the fact that they don't use ATI. This program is in place by a lot of schools. In the absence of it did they mention an alternative tool?? Sorry for all the questions.....

Yes they do have scholarships, of course you need to apply for them. My last alternative is get a loan from the school but hopefully I will not have to that route but in case I do I know it's there. There interest is 12% and you pay like $80 while attending school.

Thanks for the information Teah8177! I see your point this would be hard for me as I am not working. I wonder what options are available for me. I am planning on enrolling in Sept of next year due to the fact that I'm trying to eliminate as many prereq's as possible. I think I should register before the summer and take the Hesi before the summer as well. How soon after registration do you have to take the Hesi?
