Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

@Teah I take my HESI next month. I studying for it now and hoping to start in January. I'm just a little discouraged about the cost and insurance fees etc.

Make sure you concentrate on grammer/vocabulary. Math was pretty easy. Know your metric conversions. I know it's pricey but if you look at all the private schools in the area, they are all pricey. Look into different health care plans out there. Good luck.

Am starting in January is anyone else starting in january.

nursegos.........I have emailed you...just wondering which school you chose...I saw you tested a GPTC on oct 2 @ the newton campus...

Am starting in January is anyone else starting in january.

Hopefully I will get in for January. Keeping my fingers cross and praying.

Gptc wanted me to re-take a computer class because it's over 5 years old and that would mean I can only start next fall so I decided to go with chamberlain.

Teah8177....... You will definately get in .

@Teah Thanks for the info. You're right private schools are very expensive and will be transferring from one myself. Also, what study materials were useful for you outside of the HESI study guide? In the Anatomy section did they stick to mainly what was in the HESI study guide? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! I have a few questions for anyone who is attending Chamberlain. Did they offer you in house loans? As far as financial aid, I need to be able to get some money back to simply live on while in school. I recieve pell and sub/unsub loans but that will not be enough to cover the cost. Just curious if any of you had been able to get loans approved through the college itself for money back after tuition was paid. Thanks:)

[COLOR=#003366]@MindyydniM, am sorry to hear that. I was seating second row on the right, I think I may have seen you. I would have loved to get in and finish in a year then do the bridge, but hopefully chamberlain will work out.

I watched a lot of you tube videos. I am a visual learner. A&P was all over the place. No specific area. Just know those vocabulary words. There are exactly the same from the book. Watch some you tube videos on the math section. That helped me a lot. Good luck.

@Teah...Thanks so much. I have a few more questions. In the Math section of the study guide were there roman numerals??? How many? Also, for math were there any word problems? Around how many questions were for each section and were they timed?? And for Anatomy do I need to remember all the bones, muscles, body plains, etc???
