Nursing Students Chamberlain College

I applied to Chamberlain (the Miramar location) and was wondering if anybody knows how long it takes to hear if you get accepted or not. Also, do you get accepted through mail, email or phone call? My next question is I have 3.0 g.p.a and got a 84% on my Hesi exam, what do you think my chances are of getting accepted? Thanks for any feedback!

Welcome! Since this thread is specific to one of Chamberlain's nursing programs, we have moved it to the Chamberlain College Online forum. Good luck to you.

They told us at the Atlanta location that it takes about 4 weeks to receive decision. I think I've read on here students get phone calls

Hey, I am applying for the May term as well. Have you heard anything back from them ?

They take up to 4-8 weeks to make a decision. You could always call or email them and find out the status.

I took the HESI at Chamberlain in July 2014 and successfully passed it. I got accepted into the program however I wasn't able to start because of a family emergency. I would like to start now and was wondering if anyone knows if those HESI scores are still good or if I would have to take it again? (Cross Posted)

Did you get accepted ? I took my hesi Saturday 3/12 and got a call Monday 3/14 , stating that my application was going to be reviewed by the committee today (Thursday 3/17) and that I would get a call with an answer either today or tomorrow.

Have you contacted the school to find out ? I believe the HESI scores are only good for 1 year from test date.

Hi yes I got a call 2 weeks after I took my Hesi exam saying that I was moved on to the next step (background/drug screening). After I went in for the drug screening I got another call two days after saying I got accepted!! Good luck!!

That awesome. I go this Wednesday to meet the someone from Financial Aid, I was told that I will also receive the paperwork to do my Drug test and background check. Have you gone over your classes yet ? Have you met with someone from Financial Aid ? -if so, will you have to pay anything out of pocket ?

Yes you have to pay for the drug and background check out of pocket, I believe it was $150. After I passed the check I meet with someone from financial aid who gave me a schedule of which classes I will be taking during which sessions. However I don't have set times and days of the classes yet (they said they register you for your first semester of classes).

Im waiting for the call where they tell me when to register. I did speak to someone who stated that transitions to Nursing class is either Mondays or Tuesdays. Have you purchased any uniforms yet or will you wait for Orientation to purchase them.
