Knowing that the important calculations would come from the math and "English" sections, I simply used youtube tutorials to freshen up on fractions (adding, subtacting, multiplying, dividing) as well as ratios. The other math questions truly were middle school math questions that you can simply work out in your head or the calculator. So to answer your question tammie32, I don't know because I didn't buy the book. (Side note: Math is not my favorite subject. I have not had a math class in over 11 years and scored a 88 on the math section.)
Nurse2b7337 - Yes you will get your scores before you leave the building. (TIP: Your scores actually are listed on the screen as you complete each section. Once you have completed the math and "English" sections, just add them together and divid by 2. This is how they calculate you admission composite score. You need a minimum composite on these two areas of 75 to be considered for admission.) They print off your scores in the testing room. You take that back up to the receptionist upstairs and she/he will "officially" calculate your composite score for your advisors and admission committees review.
I hope this answered your questions.Nurse2b7337 likes this. -
- Nov 13, '12 by akilah530Hello to all of my fellow and soon to be fellow Chamberlain students. I just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone. For those of us who started in September, we will be having our second round of midterms next week...yikes!!! Well anyway, good luck to everyone starting soon!
- Nov 13, '12 by Jsayers11Hello everyone! I am currently in my second session at Chamberlain. I will have to say this school is VERY fast paced! If you do not learn quickly, dont waste your money here. It's a great school, and the teachers are wonderful. It is an accelerated program, so the classes are only 8 weeks long. You will not have much of a life when you start nursing school at Chamberlain. Half of our class that started in September have already failed out of the school. It's not that they didn't try, its just that hard!! I wish everyone much luck with addmissions and taking the hesi exam. Remember to always stay positive and true to yourself. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Can't wait to meet the new students starting in January.

- Nov 14, '12 by Jsayers11I'm glad they are doing early registration for students. They must of learned from the students that started in September. Most of us didn't get our class schedule till a week before we started. Then had to scramble to get books and stuff.
- Nov 14, '12 by Nurse2b7337It's good to know they consider feedback from current students. Yay the students opinions matter!!

That's why I popped in because when we started, there were no current students to talk to or get feedback from. Even though we aren't the first class, it kinda of felt like we were (IMO). The campus is so new, and when we started things were kind of chaotic, but things are coming together now. It will get better and better as time goes on.It's good to know they consider feedback from current students. Yay the students opinions matter!!
