Westminster CRNA interview

Hi,

I just got offered an interview at Westminster College, flying out next week. Has anyone interviewed with them, past or present? When I asked the coordinator she said "a few clinical and otherwise general interview questions.... interview length of about 20-25 minutes... with three faculty and one current senior SRNA..."

Just looking for any info on how rigorous or otherwise the interview may be!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm hoping you all can still help me out! I have an interview at Westminster for the CRNA program in a couple weeks, and I was wondering what specifically they ask? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you all, and congrats to those who got in!

I would be prepared for general ICU type questions, ACLS, and personality questions too. It's a pretty standard format for CRNA interviews so any info you find on google is pretty close. Good luck!

Hi There! CONGRATULATIONS í ¼í½¾

This thread is mostly from last year. I got into three programs (Albany Med and Columbia were the othe two) but chose Westminster because of the class size, low attrition, high board pass rates and variety of clinical sites. I also realized that the outdoor community is big here and that also played into my choice. CRNA achool is hard wherever you go but you have to like where you live to balance out the challenges you will inherently face while in school. Good Luck on making your decision.

That's great! How do you like it so far? I'm still waiting for other schools to interview so this is the first school I got into. But I'm excited!! I think the outdoor activities will definitely be a good outlet for stress relief! Thanks for your reply.

It's great! We have a really smart class. The teachers want us to succeed. They foster a great learning environment. The students aren't competitive - we teach eachother and help eachother our. Seems like the directors do a good job a making the classes and matching personalities that will do well here. Good luck on your other interviews!

I am applying there. Need some advice. I am an NP already (acute care specialty)

Here are my stats. I have a BSN with a 3.23 GPA, graduated in 2011. I just completed an acute care nurse practitioner program this past may, graduated in the top 5% of the class with a 3.91 GPA top public University. I completed Advance Health Assessment (grade A) , Pathophysiology (grade A) , Pharmacology (grade A-), Statistics (A-) Research (A) I am an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. I was wondering, Will I still be required to take the GRE? Will any of the core courses already taken transfer in ? Will my Grad GPA be considered, or my undergraduate GPA? I currently work in a busy CTICU/SICU and have a little bit under a year of experience (by the start of program I will have 1 year and 6 months experience) and It states on the website that applicant with less than 1 year can apply. In addition, my clinical rotations during NP schools were in ICUs working under an ICU NPs supervision. I do have my CCRN and PCCN certifications.I am currently re-taking General chemistry general Physics and anatomy and physiology this fall semester as recommended by current anesthesia students to prepare for the program. WHat do you guys think? Am I wasting my time?
