CRNA Boards

Hi guys,

For those that have recently taken boards...how did you know when you were ready? I am still studying, taking practice tests, etc...just wondering if something finally told you you were ready, or if you just took the test when you could no longer physically stomach looking at your review materials...I am getting to the breaking point! :barf01:

I feel like I haven't studied enough, but I also feel like I can't stomach looking at the review materials either.

Specializes in SICU, Anesthesia.

I took boards in Sept and I never felt 100% ready. I think that's pretty normal. There's just sooo much stuff to cram into your brain! Just remember the boards are a MINIMAL COMPETENCY exam. Yes, you will see crazy stuff on there but you will also see a lot of stuff that is second nature.

The good news is, if you feel your getting hard questions, that means you're probably doing well and you're getting the level 3 questions.

After taking the test, I can tell you I could have studied another 6 months and I would not have been any more ready for what was on my test than I already was.

Good luck!! :)

jewelcutt,

When are you taking boards?

The week of the 18th, haven't set a date yet. I'll take them in michigan. How about you heart? There's a testing site about 15 minutes from my house, so I'm pretty lucky, but I want them done before christmas for sure.

how can we find out where the nearest testing center is?

I hope to take them as soon as I can. Have you received anything from the CCNA yet saying that you can schedule your test? We are supposed to get our little notification that we can schedule it soon. Don't know when though. I have a testing center about 15 minutes from my house too...lucky us:-)

I haven't recieved anything yet, although our transcripts and stuff were mailed in the beginning of november. But I heard that we can't get anything until after our last scheduled clinical day, which is crap. Our director also says we should be recieving the notification to take our exam from the CCNA soon. So I assume you're gonna take it the first day you can schedule it huh? Unfortunately we were kept in school until like december 1st so I wanted a good block of time off just dedicated to studying.

movin south: there is a website you are directed to when scheduling your SEE or cert exam, it then brings up closest testing centers.

Hello All,

I graduated a couple of weeks ago and got my eligibility card a week later and scheduled my exam online that same day. I am taking the big quiz on the 20th of December. I have been through valley twice. two more weeks and I am officially studied out. Eight hour days/ 7days a week. Good luck to you all, and happy holidays;)
