Any opinions on United Health Group or their subsidiary depts.?

Anyone in any of the Texas offices?

Thanks!

Sorry, I also am curious about Cigna. I have interviews next week and case management is new to me as well as these companies.

Thanks in advance for any opinions or advice.

Most health plans seek accreditation from the National Committee of Quality Assurance. NCQA accreditation of health plans can be found through a search on http://www.ncqa.org. It can be found by a search on "health plan report card". The site doesn't tell you anything about employment, but it does speak to whether or not the health plan meets standards of quality in health care. NCQA accreditation might be a good talking point during your interview. Best of luck to you both.

A nurse I worked with was a CM with United Health Care here in Ohio. Had nothing but good to say about them. Apparently, they had an awesome benefit package. Hope this helps.

Had a negative experience when I applied to them - their HR is in Minnesota. The contacted me to set up a phone pre-interview with someone in California (job was in Maryland, go figure). I missed the interview because the little girl who arranged it couldn't figure out the time-zone difference between MD and CA and gave me the wrong time. I never called back. I think their HR may be outsourced, so I shouldn't blame the company, but 5 time zones is not rocket science. She even asked me what time zone Maryland was in - duh.....
