World Canada CA Programs

Hi There,

I have applied for second entry nursing at uOttawa, UofT, Western, Queens, Mac, York, Humber and Trent. I received an offer of admission from Trent today. I was just wondering if anyone had heard from any other school yet? I will be graduating in May from uOttawa with a BHsc minor in gerontology.

Hi bigman92!

Congratulations on your acceptance!!!! How long did it take once you applied online to get a response?

I applied in January but they didn't get my post secondary transcript until Feb 3 because that was when my university sent the transcripts that includes the fall semester marks. On Ontariocolleges.ca it says I applied on Feb 3rd and offer was sent on Feb 27.

That's so exciting thanks for the response and congrats once again

For those that got accepted to Trent, what's your GPA? I'm still waiting on Trent, and just want to see where I'm at. Thanks!

3.76 in last two years. My offer was good till April so I am sure they will do another round of letters then

Got into Queens AST today, trying to figure out what the conditions are in terms of my grade at the end of the year. The deadline to repsond is April 15th, I am going to decline my offer from Trent today

TongTong I got an offer from Trent in late February, I have a CGPA of 3.33 and my last year is 3.75. Hope to see you there : )

Hey guys I heard from both Humber second entry nursing and Trent compressed nursing. I got into both of these programs. Can anyone please let me know which one is better? It is really hard to make a choice. Looking for help :-(

@preetkaur I think both programs are really great! It really depends on where you want to live and perhaps where you want to work after school. I might be attending Trent in September and the reason I really liked the program is because its a small faculty, there is an option for a thesis in your last year, and they gave me lots of transfer credits so the course load is much lighter for me. Trent also just received an award for having "best practices" which is a nice accolade as well. In regards to Humber, I don't know too much, but it is closer to downtown Toronto, and is shorter than trent.

Thank you so much. Just a question about residence, Did you find any housing yet? Are you planning to live off-campus or on-campus? :-)
