Quebec High School and CEGEP educated...confused :(

Wow, I am so glad I found this sight, but reading the answers on the board just makes me have more questions! I'm really sorry for all the inquiries, but at the moment I have nowhere else to turn for answers.

I finished my high school in Quebec with pretty good marks, but there are 2 problems with this. First of all, Quebec high school only has 5 grades, so we graduate in grade 11...therefore, I don't have grade 12 math, bio, chem, English...nothing.

The second problem is that I graduated in 1996...so does that mean that even if I did have them, it wouldn't matter cause my courses would all be expired?

I did go to CEGEP for 3 years as well in Montreal. I took some psychologies and sociologies, and even Quantatative methods, and the grades were good. Will these count for anything, since I only graduated in 1999 from there?

And finally...i graduated from Ryerson with a B of Fine Arts...and had great history and art marks and humanities too. Since I graduated from there in 2004...same question...do any of these count anymore??

It's basically the same question over and over again...do I have to start from scratch because of where and when I studied?Anyone out there with a similar background?

Will you be applying to a Quebec university for Nursing? or elsewhere? When I went back to CEGEP for my DEC in Nursing in 2007, my core courses from CEGEP the 1st time thru (I was in DEC-Science in 1995-97) counted towards my 2nd DEC in 2007, so I only had to take the nursing content.

If you were looking at the university level, I'm sure the core (non program specific courses) from your B.A. could count towards a BScN, but the best way to know for sure is to contact the admissions dept of the school where you're considering applying.

Yeah, forgot to mention that I am thinking of applying to an Ontario university...likely U of T, Ryerson, York and Trent.

So I guess I'm wondering if anything i've done will count as it is all over 10 years old.
