carachel2.......question for you!

by spesrn

Are you the same carachel from the inciid board??? I post as Scarlett over there......... I remembered that you are a nurse and have a daughter, so I figured you have to be the same.......I thought I posted to you over there last night, but I can't find it now. I wasn't even sure if you frequented those bbs anymore.

Anyway, I'd love to talk camp nursing with you! I have never done it before and got a wild hair about 3 days ago. And I have been flooded with calls, emails and offers. I'm nervous b/c I have no idea about how to choose a camp. I know I can do the nurse part, I've been a school nurse for 3 years now. But I want to make the right decision for my girls........

I noticed in one of your other posts that you worked a camp in NC. Which one? I am talking with Greystone right now about doing a session......but I am a much more interested in two camps, one in NH and one in PA. I'd love to hear any words of wisdom you might have!

Thanks!

Jill aka Scarlett aka spesrn!

Yep..that is me ! Funny that you found me. I was BANNED from *that place* for daring to put a little blunt (yet nice) honesty in some of my posts. :angryfire Pretty much a bunch of idiots rule the boards now. Oh yeah..and once I asked for the NAME of a medical condition (not advice mind you) and was given a slap on the hand for that. Nevermind that a whole host of unqualified, non-medical people dish out extensive neurological and critical illness advice on a daily basis.

I am off to take a test (I am in school for my FNP degree) but will gladly tell you about my experience as a camp nurse. *I* loved it.......it was busy, yet rewarding and soooooooo fun to be in the mountains again. My daughter didn't do so well. In retrospect, there are a lot of things I could have done differently OR I should have waited until she was about nine.

I'll catch up with you later today or tomorrow and give you the scoop. PM me here and I'll send you my email address.

Yes, inciid is a bunch of idiots......I just checked my email and had one from the hosts explaining that they pulled my post looking for you b/c of "privacy" issues. Yeah right!?!?!? I'm walking out the door too, please send private message , so I'd love to hear about your experience. And best of luck on that test!!!

Yeah, they don't want the idiots to know that they banned me. WHATEVER.
