University of San Francisco Fall 2012

U.S.A. California

It's been a few days since the deadline for applications has passed, are there any of us here who have applied at USF for the fall of 2012?

hi! i also applied for this cohort and am really nervous about my application! my gpa is really low but i'm hoping my rec, personal statement and ec's will balance that out somehow.

kayla, was that email about the decisions a recent one? i haven't received any emails from them other than confirmation of my application.

I know! The tension is killing me. It's my first year applying also, I'm a transfer student from the peninsula. Well ladies/gents hopefully some good news will come soon. I called the admissions and they send out acceptance emails, then a packet follows. So if you guys are saying early march then there should be an email. So check regularly! I wish you all the best of luck ;-)

Also, they don't email rejections. However, I don't think it's too late to look for acceptance. Hope this helps.

2nurse1, I sent them an email asking when decisions would be sent out, end of march was there reply :)

R3rohrer, yep I too heard emails first, then a packet. I'm glad I receive email on my phone or else I would constantly check my email! Hope we all get some good news soon! Oh and how do rejections get notified? By US mail?

Hey everyone,

I applied for Fall 2012 too! I know progress reports aren't mandatory if you're currently taking course work, but did anybody else send one anyway? Or do any of you think I should? I'm done with Anatomy and Micro, but I'm currently taking Physio. I'm doing pretty well, but I'm not sure if it's a bit late to send it. Opinions?

Kayla, yes the rejection letters will come via mail.Irisktan, I'm currently taking micro. I don't think submitting a progress report is nessecary. Check your application status if it's moved from in process to processed than I'd say no. But I'm no expert.

Thank youR3rohrer, I'll do that.

Has anyone heard back yet?

Last year some friends got acceptance emails at around march 11, so maybe it'll be the same this year? Not sure. Plus I talked to some people who didn't receive their rejection letters until like mid april!

First and foremost, glad to see some new faces in this thread! I hope everyone receives good news this month! It's pretty exciting to hear that last year, people heard around March 11 Kayla. Thanks for sharing that with us!

I've always wondered though why it would be too troublesome to send rejection emails around the same time they send acceptance emails. I would think sending a rejecting email would be a lot easier and quicker than a letter, but maybe it is because it is more 'personalized' when it is a snail-mail letter.

Anyways, once again, I wish everyone good luck. Is everyone from around the area?

Also, I was wondering, does anyone know what the "Status" box is for next to our "College Transcript" and "Letter of Recommendation" in the "Application Status/Summary" page of the website?

I heard back from USF last week. I got accepted into their BSN program as a freshman! Are you all applying as freshman or transfer students?

Yeah I think most of us are transfer students. Maybe since we have a few more requirements it takes longer for them to process ours? Congrats again to you though! ;)
