UCLA Summer 2018 New Grad Residency

U.S.A. California

Does anyone know when the application for the upcoming new grad summer 2018 cohort opens?

Started this thread as a place to share questions/information for those of us applying! :)

Got an email for an interview for Pediatrics in the beginning of June :) External!

I am relocating from Arizona. I have applied to the NICU and to the Transplant. No status change. Any NICCU people here hear back or a status change? I have a second interview at CHLA.

Specializes in NICU.

If anyone could give some insight, I tried to answer the Assessment honestly (not always Strongly Agree on kiss-ass comments). Could it be that they were looking for those types of answers for the Assessment? I wonder if that's what has stopped a lot of people from being interviewed.

Lifeisbeachy-Did your status change ?

Specializes in NICU.

Kris--unfortunately no. So I'm guessing it might not work out for an interview this time around. :(

Does anybody know if the amount of time slots that were available for interviews correlate with how many positions are open/people they are interviewing? My unit only had 2 open time slots, whereas I'm hearing of several other units having 7-8 time slots open.

I believe it might. My time slot said it was full after I scheduled my interview.

Does anyone know if USC requires ACLS at the time application or it's required upon hiring ? I noticed that ACLS is on the list of their requirements to be qualified for the program!

Posting again.... Anyone heard back from the NICU?

I received an interview for 8ICU - Surgical/Transplant ICU! Interviews are 6/1 and 6/4!

No change to my status yet. Keeping my fingers crossed! For those that has an interview, good luck! I interviewed for the last cohort, so if you have questions - feel free to ask!

I applied to L&D and the NICU and my status hasn't changed. I'm beginning to think they have what they need
