Is anyone applying for spring 2012 at sac state? do you know what the cut off was for fall? how did you do on your teas V and how long did you spend time studying?

I am planning to apply for spring 2012. I am really scared. I need at least a 90 on the TEAS V but I have less then 2 weeks to study :(

I just looked it up on their website and it says that they want all the results in by oct 15 at the latest for the TEAS. I think I'll just wait until next semester. I am very upset but I think waiting would be better for me. I'll have five months to brush up on everything and that should be plenty of time :) thank you for all your help!! Not everyone is kind enough to offer such great advice especially if they are applying to the same school, so I really appreciate all your help :) please keep me updated and let me know how it goes. I wish you the very best!

I hope next fall works out for you! I'll try to post how things go. And no problem - I hope I helped some :) Good luck!

Same here! What are your stats if you don't mind me asking?

GPA is 3.9, TEAS 87.3% and 3 points of supplemental criteria puts me at 73 points I think. Eek, I hope that's good enough to get in! I feel like it gets more and more competitive. How about you? Are you applying anywhere else for Spring?

I think 73 points will probably be enough :)

nursing gpa 4.0 TEAS 91.3% and I'm not counting on my 1 supplemental criteria, so I have 83 points.

I know it's difficult to get in, so there is constant anxiety until you know for sure!

I'm not applying for anywhere else in the spring, but I'm applying to East Bay and SF for next fall as back ups.

Have you applied anywhere else?

I applied to CSU Long Beach and got an interview invite today. I also applied to CSU San Marcos and Chico State. I'm from the Bay Area, so wherever I end up, I'll be relocating. From what I've seen of the Sac and Chico programs, I really like so far. All of these programs sound great, I'm just happy for any kind of shot at them. Your stats are really impressive!! You definitely have a great chance at getting selected for Sac!!

Thanks :) I live in the Bay too, so I know how that is. What do you know about Chico's program? I've always just steered clear of that school because of it's general reputation.

Haha, yeah I know. Every time I mention that I'm applying to Chico State to someone, they give me a funny look lol. I went to an advising session there last week and got some helpful information about their selection criteria. I don't know too much about the program itself, but that it's a 5 semester program and they accept 40 for Fall and 40 for Spring. All of the faculty/personnel I spoke to seem really helpful and nice. The only thing that is frustrating is that they don't announce admissions decisions until December, so that is an even longer wait period!

SF and East Bay also seem like very good schools. I took my microbio class at East Bay and had a really good experience there.

I mean it doesn't mean that it's that way in the nursing school. It's not like it's just business or communications -nothing against them- it's harder and more specific, so the kinds of students accepted would be different.

And wow. Not till December?? I wish the wait wasn't so long for all the programs. It also makes it hard for those of us who would have to pick up and move in a month and a half max.

I got 69 points...... and 72 if they give me 3 points for economic factoring..... 69 for sure.

Good luck!

I'm hoping for the economic points too. I wish we knew how they figure who qualifies for those and who doesn't, so we could know exactly how many points we will have.

I thought the same thing. What's the maximum threshold for income? I couldn't find it anywhere. Im going off of how much financial aid I got..... which isn't much.only like a thousand of free money. Im almost out of unemployment, so hopefully they consider that.

I have no idea. I think they use some kind of formula to figure it out, but they don't even give ballpark figures anywhere. I'm sure they will take everything you included into consideration though.

The lady at the advising session said 69 points for a spring semester should be good.
