Saddleback College Fall 2015

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi there!

I just submitted my application for fall of 2015, didn't find a fall 2015 board so figured I'd start one! Who else is applying? I've seen on previous semesters that people knew the total amount of applicants-anyone know the total amount for this semester or how to find out? I have 85 (possibly 87) points, but still terrified that I won't get in. Good luck everyone!

Hello Amy!!

my name is Zara and I also applied for fall 15', and I can't stand the wait anymore. when I submitted my application the lady was like we will get back to you beginning June! I hope thats a joke or something because I can't wait 3 more months!

and girl, I hate to burst your bubble, but YOU'RE GONNA GET IN lol! 85 or 87 points is really good! people get in with 69 points so theres no way they won't accept you!

I take it you have a lot of experience in the med field, I have 77 points with 4.0 science GPA and took all the classes with As, but I only have volunteering hours+ n204 which gave me 5 points in the experience section.

do you have friends that already got accepted last year that can tell us when they got their acceptance letter?

and please, share with us your acceptance when you get your letter :)

good luck!

Did you guys apply to any other schools other than Saddleback? I applied to both Saddleback and MiraCosta. I can't stand the wait anymore either!

I also applied for Fall 2015 and I'm also nervous I won't get in... I'm not sure how many points I have exactly, but at least 70! My other friends who were accepted in Spring say as long as your points are 67 or better you should get in í ½í¸€

Hopefully we will all get in and can have friends on the first day!!! Good luck to all!!!! We can do this!

Haha I hope I get an acceptance letter :nailbiting: Only a month and a half left now! I do have a lot of experience in the med field, been working as a CNA since 2011. Great job on the straight A's, way to go! I worked my butt off and got an A in micro and B's in A&P. Physio was an 88, wish I would have done just a bit better! Keep is updated! Shouldn't be long now before they start sending letters out huh? In past Saddleback boards on here it looks like people started getting them 2-3 weeks before the "date" they were given. Good luck!

I honestly only applied to Saddleback... Probably not my best idea haha! I really considered applying elsewhere, but I truly only want to go to Saddleback. I applied as West Coast a few months back and was accepted, but their cost is just too expensive. Good luck to you!

1 more month guys!!! please if you get your acceptance letter let us know!!

thank you, yeah phys was extremely hard though, like I ended up only taking 1 class with it and dropping my other classes so i can focus on it, and it was with -------------- too! and a B in phys at saddleback is an A lol so no worries :)

thats awesome, what hospital do you work at? I actually just got a full-time patient care tech job too, but I'm a little worried that if i get in that I won't be able to handle both.

Are you planning to work during nursing school or no?? hopefully the hospital will let me do part-time instead of full-time if I start nursing, so we'll see!

yeah thats what i heard about the letters too! so we should be expecting them in like 3rd week of May I think! good luck guys and lets keep in touch :)

Z

Yes please do!! I'm checking the mail like a fiend I'm assuming they will be mailing them out soon if we were told to expect them June 2. I got a letter from saddleback last week about my degree, I nearly cried when I saw it lol. It was "thin" so I immediately thought it was a denial letter from the nursing program. Phew!!

I loved ----------------, she was awesome!!

I work at Laguna Hills Health and Rehab as a CNA. I love the hands on hospital experience! I'm planning on working still. My M-F job is 9 hrs a day, but I can bring my 3 year old son and study too. They wil work with me and be flexible around school hours. My weekend job is in the facility, I'll likely keep that too! The saddleback website has their nursing handbook online. It says the recommend working 20 hours or less a week, but that's not really possible with the cost of living in OC! I think if it's a job related to health care you should be fine, that way you are learning while on the job :)

awww hahahahah that was probably so nerve racking for you!! Yeah May is the definitely the big month lol! and yeah like you said before, I applied to other schools but the only one I really want to go to is saddleback. its one of the best programs in the region and nationally, its 2 mins away from where I live, and its cost is nothing compared to private schools and universities, it will literally be such a blessing to get into it, fingers crossed for us!

thats really nice that the facility is understanding and flexible, good for you! if I get the hospital to give me part-time that will be amazing, that way I can get experience but it won't be too much, cause I work 12-hr shifts nights so it would just be really hard full time with school you know!

I hope we all get in so we can be buddies and help each other out during the program lol :)

I'm new and also applied! I'm actually in sf so it was a back up plan but may end up being where I go! I can't remember how many points I have darn it! I've applied to so many schools. So far only 1 acceptance. I'm waiting for the rest. Do you guys think it will really be in June?!?!?

Hi everyone! I wanted to to introduce myself. My name is Kellie. I have already been accepted to the program last fall but deferred until now due to me having a baby in March. I am excited to start but nervous. Having a newborn won't be easy along with my 3 other kids! Yes I am crazy!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for u all!

By the way, letters are going out the last week in May!
