Registration- West Coast University

U.S.A. California

Hi everyone,

First off I would like to say congratulations! You are officially a pre-nursing student! I would like to provide you little detail on what you can expect on registration day at West Coast University- Anaheim, CA.

Before going to registration, I didn't expect it to be so many students there. I thought it would be less, approximately 10-15 people but I was definitely wrong. There were so many students and it was just amazing to see so many who were really interested in attending this school. It definitely gave me more high hope from hearing pros and cons about this school...

At registration, they will bring you upstairs. As soon as you get upstairs, you will have your photo taken one student at a time (make sure you are dressed and presented well). After taking your picture, you will be provided a folder. This folder contains all information about the school such as rules and protocols and, frequently asked questions, information on uniforms and bookstore. Your school schedule will also be provided. You will be there for about 2 hours. They talk about how they can help you find a job while in school, even if they highly recommend that you do not work because the program is very accelerated and intense. They will basically go over everything in your folder.

After, they will send you to the computer lab. That way you can set up your student portal (very common sense). They also provided us refreshments before leaving. And honestly that is basically it. You will also get your student I.D. at orientation as I was told by my admissions counselor.

The only tip I would suggest that you do when you are there is to ask them if you can try on SAMPLE lab coats before going home. That way you order your lab coat you will know what size you are. (I am a size small in shirt, but i ordered a XS for my lab coat. The extra small was really really HUGE on me still. So I had to pay to return it and have them exchange it for a XXS. I am hoping that size fits perfectly. Learn to be organize and prepared that way you can have your lab coats, uniforms, and books before orientation which is only a couple days before your class start date.

Thank you for the info! My registration date is in July and I'm really excited for it :)

You made this post last year but, I wonder how are you and are you still attending WCU?
