New entrance requirements at El Camino

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi,

does anyone know if the new entrance requirements for the El Camino nursing program in Torrance will be applied to the people starting in the Spring '09 semester.

I just saw their website and they're saying that it will be effective starting Spring '09, however when I spoke to the nursing department less than a month ago they didn't tell me anything, they just told me that I would start in the Spring.

I'm so tired of these people, they say one thing and then they go ahead and change everything, and they're so unhelpful.

I guess I will go and ask them again tomorrow but I was wondering if there's anyone here that might know what's going on.

Thanks for your help

Daniela

Well, aaahhsuga, I guess you don't have to worry about it since you're in the Harbor program, right? As for the "Harbor instructor" who was "for some reason brought in to teach last semester": it's possible she wanted another teaching position. Anyways, I know excellent nurses who are grads from both programs. I maintain that both programs are very good, each with their own pros and cons. All I care about, ultimately, is that there are safe and competent nurses out there. They'll be my future co-workers and the ones taking care of my loved ones.
