MJC vs. San Joaquin Delta college

U.S.A. California

Hello! I was just curious to see if there are any nursing students at MJC (Modesto Jr. College) and Delta College who will ever be so kind to tell me what they like/dislike about their program. I have been accepted into Delta's RN program and am still awaiting results on MJC's RN program. I've looked on the RN.gov website and it seems that MJC has a higher NCLEX passing rate than Delta. However, I'm looking for a program with good instructors- those willing to help students.

Can you please tell me how are your instructors? Good/Bad? Are they helpful? How are your clinical rotations? Etc.. I'm trying to decide which program is a better fit for me. Which program is better? (not trying to sound snobby here, but hopefully you'll know what I mean).

Thanks a bunch! :nuke:

Amy 123; I'm curious-which nursing school did you decide upon? I am too am "angling", trying to decide which school to attend. Currently I am attending Delta, but am REALLY apprehensive of their physio instructors. MJC has great physio reviews. I think I also like that MJC is using Kaiser Hosp.

What did you do....I only need physio, will be taking Fall 2009.

Thanks in advance...

I think MJC still has a lottery system for admission into their Nursing Program...so I suppose, if it were me, I would go with whatever program I can get in to.

The only thing I know about their CI's is from the point of view of a student in another program who does clinical rotations at the same hospitals.:D

Thank you for your quick reply! I LOVE your personal quote at the end of your statement! So, I'm assuming the "CI" means Clinical Instructors??

You are correct-MJC has a lottery; I do plan on applying for both Delta and MJC. Sounds like you went to Delta? or another school than MJC?

Yes, I'm 5th semester at CSU Stanislaus in Turlock. You are indeed correct, CI is clinical instructor:yeah:

Does anyone going to MJC have a list of the ISBN numbers in the fundamentals of nursing package? The Pirates website doesn't list them out individually and I'd like to save money, if possible, buy buying used. I start in January, thanks
