How long until I can take the N-CLEX

Would go for licensure first and not worry about the IP. Most facilities in CA want to see that you have passed the exam before they will even hire you if you are wishing to work in a hospital setting.

If you attended school in CA, then you can sit for the exam quite fast, as long as your name is on the list of expected students to graduate. They will not issue your license until they have a completed file.

When you attend school out of state, then you have to wait for a completed file before they will permit you to test. And alot has to do with how quickly that your school gets the transcripts to them, some do not send them out for about three weeks or so. I would expect it to take about six weeks or so if you are graduating during a busy time for them.

I am graduating nursing school in nevada and am applying to CA. the should be no glitches in my app. How long on average does it take California to issue your interim permit and allow you to sit for the N-CLEX?

I'm in the same boat as you lilprinzessky (getting license in CA but in school in another state)! I wish I could speed things up some way! I am hoping my school will be quick with those transcripts!
