Can anyone give me an idea of approximately how long it takes to get HIRED in So Cal/Inland Empire? Actually need this information for a court date (spousal support). Graduating in Spring 2014. Thank you for any information you can give me!

If you go under the "career" tab there's a bunch of subsections about first year nursing, etc... it seems CA is a really hard state to get hired in (there's also a CA nurisng tab up there) and obviously it depends on what you're looking for/that facilities willingness to hire new grads, etc. I don't think ANYone can give you a clear picture of this.

California has up to a 47% unemployment rate for new grad nurses. Some have taken 18 months to 2 years to secure their first job as a nurse.

I think that you will have better luck in the Inland Empire. Coastal Southern California is flooded with new grads...even internal employees are having a hard time snagging that first RN job because there's way too much competition. Also, BSNs or higher are strongly preferred so if you have an ADN or diploma, you'll have a tougher go of things.
