Everest College Ontario RN program

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I know two people who graduated as RN's from everest. One works at my job and she got hired as a new grad at a pysch hospital.

I'm still in the application process. I got through the testing and am waiting on a call for an interview. They told me they call people April-June for interviews, based on their test scores. I did fairy well, although not as well as I'd hoped. She did tell me that I would most likely be called this month. Once they get through all of the interviews they will make their decision.

Thanks for the info Tasha. Is your other friends that went there working also?

Kailet, good luck! I'm sure you'll do great. :) let us know when you hear

Yes. She worked at my job too *new grad* for little over a year and then got hired to work ER at another hospital.

Very cool to know Tasha, thanks. Are you an Rn? Or are you thinking of going to Everest also?

I'm currently a CNA and applied for the lvn program at la puente. I'm an alternate and need to retest this friday

An alternate for everest or la Puente? Congrats on getting that far girl. These schools are so competitive.

Thank you!! At La Puente adult school lvn program. it's $7500 total with financial aid. you have to pass the tabe test and then there's a second portion of a 4-week pre-course. then they choose 30 students for the july program 2014. i hope i get accepted overall.i came this far and not going to give up! :)

Do you know if I can transition over to the rn program? im an lvn...or do I still have to do the full 2 years?
