Hi all,

I have applied at CSUSM for Spring 2013 Cohort, I am currently taking my last chem lab. I pray and hope that I get accepted. Please share your stories and progress....Thanks.

Hi kaolla56,

How many points did you have. I was hoping that i would be accepted with 31 points since I was above the previous average but I havent heard any news yet. I guess I will have to retake the teas too.

Hi ABSN2be,

Congratulations on your acceptance. Please share your points. Thanks

What did you get on your TEAS if you don't mind sharing.

Hi Sashapatra,

Thanks! I saw your post on the other thread too, but I'll answer here. Sorry, not quite sure what my total points are since I don't know what they used as my gpa for my last 60 units. But, if it helps, I got an 86% on my TEAS and 3.3 pre-nursing score GPA. Good luck and hope you hear from them soon!

And if anyone is curious about my timeline:

submitted my app and app fee at the end of July, submitted my transcripts at the end of August, took my TEAS and submitted my score on Sept. 21, got my evaluation sheet Oct. 25th, got my acceptance email last Friday, and the acceptance letter in the mail yesterday.

Oh sweet, there is another CSUSM spring 2013 ABSN thread! Like ABSN2b, I received an e-mail telling me I was conditionally accepted to the San Marcos campus, and I received a letter in the mail today saying the same thing. @Sashapatra, I don't think you have to worry with 31 points. I'm not exactly sure how many I had, but I got an 88% on the TEAS, which put me in the 98th percentile. My last 60 units was about a 3.3, I think. Honestly, I just applied and turned in all my necessary transcripts and scores and just waited to hear back. I know it's nerve-wracking but as long as you get your classes done, you should be fine!

Also, if anyone is looking for a roommate, I think it would be great to live with fellow classmates so we can study together. I know a lot of people are probably going to commute, but please let me know if you're interested!

Hi everyone,

I am so excited I finally got accepted in ABSN program at San Marcos Campus. Thanks all for your help and encouraging posts. And for those still waiting, I wish you good luck. Also just to let you know, they will be now accepting another cohort in Summer (June 2013) and Fall (September 2013) at Temecula and Spring 2013 will be the last Spring Cohort to be accepted at Temecula. Can't wait to meet you all.

FYI they posted stats for cohort 13 Fall 2012 Temecula - average points 31; precore 3.53; last 60 3.57; TEAS 83.9.

I am in one of the current cohorts at Temecula, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hello CSUSM10! So I just turned in my deposit/letter of intent, and I was wondering what the next step in the process is? Like, when should we be expecting information about background checks, orientation, etc.? Also, is there some sort of housing program for incoming students?

Thank you!

emily45,

I received an email to run a background check report ($25 fee). Just today, I received an email to apply on CSU Mentor ($55 fee). You should get those soon. We will have another background check and drug test but that will be in February before we start our clinical. All these information will be sent to you by email.

Hi emily45,

I just received an email saying the orientation is on December 10 from 8am-12pm. I sent my intent to enroll deposit yesterday. I haven't received info on background check yet, but I did receive an email to apply to the University via CSU Mentor. Can't wait to meet all of you! Congrats to everyone again!

Does anyone know if there's any way of finding out what gpa they calculated for my last 60 units?

I found out my GPA for last 60 units by calling my advisor. She was nice about it.
