CSUDH Entry MEPN - Fall 2011

Hi there! How is applying going so far? I"m having trouble with my plan of action I was wondering what kinds of factors did you take into account in carrying yourself through the program?

Also, where did you do your CNA program? I'm trying to fit a short session in between finishing my prereqs! Any advice would be helpful! I don't know many people who are applying for nursing so I'm kind of on my own at this point. Thank you!

Hello Jeanie! I did my CNA program at LBCC about year ago. The course is a semester long and it takes some time to register for the exam and wait for the certificate. You might be able to take it somewhere else and expedite the certification process.

In regards to the plan of action, I basically mentioned my sources of financial and emotional support. You may mention anything else that you think is vital. I hope that helps! Good luck! :)

Hey Class 2011 to be ,I am currently working on my prerequisites awaiting for approval for the pathophysiology class....I attended the workshop that was held on Nov 7th.I already submitted my personal portfolio ,awaiting for an interview in early February.

hello i went to the work shop in nov , i turned in my portfolio in dec , and interviewed in on feb 10, i was told there was rolling admissions but i havnt heard anything yet. from looking at the previous threads i guess its all just a waiting game but i am totally freaking out over here.

I would very much also like to know what is going on with the CSUDH program. All other posts for ABSN CSUN, MSMC, UCLA etc. are full of action, info on interviews, admissions decisions, you name it ...

... and here we have only about 6 posts. Besides you, I wonder if anyone else got interviewed. I had submitted my portfolio but admissions had messed up with my paperwork so I have no clue what it going on with anything.

I thought I read that last year admission decisions were mailed out in June.

yea its a little strange im just going to try and remain patient with out having a major break down. i have heard a lot of very positive feedback about the program its self so hopefully this will all just be a part of the prize!!

I think you should get on it since you realized that the admission messed up your paper work because that happened to me last year. I submitted my grad (of some classes that I just finished up) to the admission, but somehow it didn't get transfer to Nursing department, so I got denied from the process from that matter

Keep you fingers crossed! Wish you luck;) My interview was alright. She asked so many questions about my experience, and how I could apply those skills to nursing.
