U.S.A. California

Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a thread for anyone applying to CSU San Marcos for the Fall 2014 BSN program. Have anyone got accepted to the University yet?

I sent my application and all the required documents. I am finishing my last prerequisite and hope to be accepted into the fall cohort . Good luck ! :smug:

@vaguayo I sent my application and required documents as well. Have you been accepted to the university yet? That's great, almost done.(: have you took your teas exam yet? I'm scheduled to take it in a couple weeks. So stressful!!

I have not received anything yet . I applied to the accelerated BSN program . I also took my teas about a week ago :).

If you don't mind me asking how was the teas? How long did you study? What materials did you use? Sorry. 21 questions. Haha I'm so nervous about it. :(

I studied for about a week and a half using the AIT book study manual and the practice tests ( total $100). I was rusty but scored 80%. I was happy with that. If I don't get in to the program, I will retake the TEAS again since my GPA is high for the prerequisites and the last 60 units. The test was about 2.5 hours long. I mainly studied the science and math but did not study the English which I sort of regret since I scored the lowest in that section. I was scared of the teas too but just study your weak points and I am sure you will do fine. It's not a hard test.

Isabellaboho- Vaguayo is right! Don't be afraid of the TEAS-- I also used the ATI book to study, and mostly polished up on the math procedures (It has been almost 10 years since my last real math class!)..I devoted about a week to study, and managed to get an 87%, which I was okay with. Focus on the areas you are weakest in, and you should be all set.

I have a quick question for you both (I also posted this in your last thread, Vaguayo :-)): Are we required to complete the initial evaluation through the university first prior to applying-- even if we are ready to submit the application itself?

Cheers!

Hi I also applied to CSUSM ! Has anyone heard back from the University yet ??

No I haven't heard back fr the University yet, there the only school left that I need to get accepted. Speaking of the Hnicersity only. I guess they take a while.

Hello everyone, I am in the position of applying o the nursing school in traditional way for the fall of 2014. I will let you folks know and update from now on. Currently I have a 3.83 gpa and a 75.3% TEAS score. Hopefully I get in so I can become a navy nurse. Take care and good luck with those apps!
