CSU San Marcos ABSN Fall 2013

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi fellow pre-nursing students!

I'd like to start a thread to those applying or have already applied to the ABSN program for Fall 2013 (Temecula/San Marcos locations)

I personally have not applied yet. I still have Anatomy and Microbiology in progress this Spring semester and will be completing Physiology during Summer. I'd like to apply soon, but quite hesitant since I still have quite a number of courses IP.

I will be contacting an advisor within this week and will definitely update this thread with further information. It might be too early to say, but good luck to all of us!

Congratulations!!! Are you starting this Fall 2013 in Temecula? When does it start? Is it too late to apply? I'm still about to make physiology this summer.

It starts Aug 26th. Their admission is on a rolling basis so you can apply at any time and they will process your application for whatever semester is coming up and if you dont get into that semester they will apply your application for the following semester as well.

Congrats! I'm in my last class and I'm hoping to get in this August. I just want to finally go into nursing school!

Thank you! I have been applying to nursing schools for 3 years so I definitively know how you feel. If anyone gets in for the Fall and needs a roommate please let me know! I am located in northern california so I have never actually been to temecula and have no idea where to look online for a place! I would prefer to live with a nursing student so this is a great place to find one! If anyone is interested you can contact me and I will give you my information :)

I'm probably doing the commute from SD to there. I'll see how it goes. Haha.

How would you rank the difficulty of getting accepted into the program? I'm worried because I have a lot of B's in my science classes except an A in physiology. Erp. Reading all the others scores from previous forums is making me nervous.

I really don't know! I had all B's and one C in my sciences but all my other grades are A's and a few B's so Im not really sure how hard it is to get into. I do know from looking at previous years stats of admitted cohorts that I know I am on the lower end of the spectrum. Good luck commuting everyday!! I have a friend who was offering me free rent in SD but it would be two hours or more of driving everyday and I don't want to take that on lol. Good luck!!

You make me feel so much better! Haha. I think it's because when I was going to my university, it was like obvious who would or would not get in based on grades. I might move depending on how I feel but my parents insist I move there and it's only for two years. It'll go by in no time! Lets hope so. Haha.

Hi! I'm expecting a Fall start and would be moving from the East Coast. I've been looking a bit online at some of the rental communities and also houses for rent, but I don't know the area either and may end up taking a short trip out to have a better idea about the area/distances/traffic. Definitely want to keep it in Temecula, close to the school though. Plenty of friends and family in SD and LA when I need a break :) I haven't had a roommate since college ('07) but I definitely think it would be helpful to share a place with someone in the program. I'd be up for considering an apt with one other person, or a nice house with a couple cohort-mates. Based on the phone convo I had with the school last week it sounds like it might be a little bit of a wait before anyone can join you on the official Fall 2013 acceptance list. Hopefully not too long though! Have a good week future RNs!

I am on my way to being done with my combined introductory, organic, and biological chemistry. So excited! TWO MORE WEEKS!

They never received my cc transcripts or my teas scores :(

I also received my acceptance email last week. Congrats!! I was accepted for summer but decided to try and have one last summer break. Glad it worked out! lol I look forward to meeting you and everyone else :D Good luck to all of you.
