Hello Future Nurses!

Just figured I'd start a new thread for the upcoming spring 2013 cohorts. Is anyone looking for a roommate(s)?? I live up north in the bay area, so I have no idea what places are good to live at. Can anyone please recommend some places/apartments?

Thank you!

Hello all! I got accepted to the Temecula campus as well. Congrats to everyone who got accepted :)

hello all, and congrats to those accepted! :)

I was wondering how soon of a response did you guys hear about your acceptance after turning in all your transcript and TEAS for csu san marcos? I just turned in everything two weeks ago and still have not heard anything; I've emailed them, but no response yet so I was just wondering what time some of you who got accepted turned in your app. Also, it is probably too late to get accepted to SPRING 2013 ABSN admissions I am assuming...

Hi tnt1nees, I applied in mid-September, and heard on November 1st or so. I'm assuming it takes a bit to look through applications. Make sure you've turned in ALL your transcripts, which would really speed up the process. Good luck to you!

thank you Emily! & congrats to you =)

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your acceptance. I applied for the spring 2013 as well but im finishing up my last two classes this semester so I won't be done till mid December. Im not sure if that is too late for the spring 2013. Is anybody in the same boat as I am?

Hey everybody, for those of you accepted to the san marcos campus and are commuting from San Diego, is their anyone interested in carpooling?

hi guys,

the temecula cohort has their orientation this thursday! i was wondering if you guys will be looking for housing during that time or are you going to wait until january. i have been looking on craigslist for places around temecula but i wanted to see if students will be getting together somehow to decide on housing? i went to ucdavis and live in the bay so i have no idea what the area is like and what to expect of costs, etc in socal.

we should meet up! :)

Hi acunha: Where will you be commuting from? I live in Bonita/Chula Vista area and was wondering the same thing.

tnt1nees: They say it takes 6-8 weeks from when they receive everything to review. At 6-7 weeks after I turned in my TEAS score, I received my academic evaluation. I received my conditional acceptance email 1-2 weeks after that and a few days later, I received the conditional acceptance letter (which said exactly the same thing as the email.) Good luck!

@ ABSN2be I live in college area (SDSU) really close to the 15freeway. We would probably have different clinical rotations but maybe it would be worth it to commute together for the days we have class?

@ ABSN2be and acunha. I live in San diego too, Mission Valley/Kearny Mesa Area. I would love to car pool. I was reading through the car pooling parking instructions, they give one car pool permit to one car (all car poolers have to be present at the office to get the permit). I am not sure if the permit stays with the car or it can be moved around. That would be nice if it can be moved around then we can look for one more person and car pool four people that would mean each person drives one week per month.( probably three times in a week) In a semester each person will have driven for four weeks only saving gas for twelve weeks ( I don't know if this makes sense). I think we should wait and get the class schedule first to make sure it works for everyone. looking forward to meeting all of you on Monday. Yes, you are right San Marcos campus is Cohort 14.

I just graduated in December 2012, and am looking to sell my books! If anyone is interested, please please let me know. I live ~20 min from the san marcos campus.
