CSU East Bay Fall 2011 Applicants

U.S.A. California

Hi, I am hoping to hear from fellow pre-nursing students who have applied to CSU East Bay's nursing program. Do you feel confident you will earn a seat in the nursing program? A reply would be greatly appreciated.

I applied and it is my first choice school. I know there are a lot of applicants so now it is just a waiting game.

If you dont mind me asking, what is your pre-req gpa and TEAS score?

My TEAS score was 85.1 and my prereq GPA is 3.8 at last calculation. What are your stats?

Hi. Nice to be here. Anyway, I applied also for Fall 2011. My Teas will be on Feb.5 and after that waiting time for the admission. I turned down USF for Spring 2011 bec. of financial issue. Just can't do it there. Well, just to encourage everyone, keep praying. God is faithful.

My Teas Score is 87.6 and according to my application online I have a final pre-req gpa of 3.68. I am just praying they will consider my application as competitive enough for their program.

Kt21: What is your science gpa?

My science GPA is 3.7. I am hoping it is good enough. Do you know what they usually take?

Im not sure what they consider an acceptable gpa. I have viewed posts on this website about past applicant pool statistics and the average gpa accepted is 3.7 and average TEAS score is 88%.

I am hoping for SJSU or east bay!! Have you heard any good/bad reviews on either of the nursing schools. TEAS= 91.8 and GPA= 4.0, but I'll get 5 points off for a repeat, which I think will make a huge negative effect of my chances!

I have heard csueb is hard. I would love to know when we are supposed to find out. I got into a more expensive program, but csueb is my first choice.

Both nursing programs are equally difficult to earn a seat into but both are highly regarded as excellent nursing schools. WIth your 4.0 gpa, that 5 point deduction should hardly have any effect on your chances of acceptance into the program. As for when we hear back from the nursing program, applicants should receive their acceptance letters in April.
