CSU Bakersfield Fall 2013 Hopefuls?

@golakers1: I am also from LA. If i get admitted Im going to have to move over there also and rent an apartment. did you sent your 100 dollar deposit to enroll into CSUB even though you don't know for sure if you got into the program?

@melanie thanks ill have to look into studios. im looking to save some money on rent so if its affordable that can definitely be an option.

@kmendoza I did sent my intent to enroll already. there is actually an option there where you can check off a waiver for the 100$ deposit if you have signed up for fafsa. So i checked that option and turned it in :) If you signed up for fafsa i would recommend doing that as well.

I just did some research on apartments near CSUB. They are much more affordable than living in the dorms. Living in the dorms would cost $622 per month and thats for a double/sharing the same room with someone AND community restrooms :/. Not to mention the mandatory meal plan which would be like eating 17 dollars of food per day. which isn't too bad depending on how much you eat I guess. But one could save money on food if on a budget by going to the grocery store and such for the week. Living in Apartments in a 3 mile radius from school would be a lil less than 800 a month for a 2 bedroom. 3 bedrooms would be a lil less than 1200..so that would be like 400 a person. All these averaged out of course. Plus you would have to consider internet/utilities which would still make it alot cheaper than living in the dorms. Anyone down to get an apartment with me please let me know! :) I would rather room with fellow nursing majors so that we can help each other out with studies and such rather than other people that may not relate, schoolwise.

Im sure youll get in. No worries. It helps alot being that your a csub student and a resident of bakersfield. That is 10 extra points right there! That should boost up your score tons :)

Have you guys heard from anywhere else? There used to be a website to check for Fresno State, but it isn't active this year I guess. Everyday, I check my email like 100 times! AAAHHHH! I'm going crazy! Even work isn't getting my mind off anything HAHA!
