Concordia University Irvine Accelerated BSN Fall 2012

U.S.A. California

I am in the midst of getting my application ready. Hoping that I can wow the committee with my letter, as my GPA is not as competitive as I would like.

Anyone else planning on applying for Fall?

Hey everyone, so today i got a reminder email from the assistant director of admission and it said that i need to reply by tomorrow to confirm/decline my interview invitation....however I never got an invitation email!!! it says the emails were sent either Monday or Tuesday. I thoroughly checked my inbox and spam and there's nothing. i wrote her back asking if she could resend me the invitation. I'm hoping that she didn't accidentally send me a reminder :( anyone experiencing the same thing??

I talked to her today-she was incredibly helpful. I would give her a call tomorrow if you can.

It is alway great to hear about the professors. I am very excited and hope that I can be a part of cohort #10. One of the main reasons I love Concordia was the staff. From the very 1st time I toured the campus and the department I felt like a person and not just a number.

So far you and I are the only ones in the forum scheduled for the 17th. Let's see of we can find each other that morning. I plan on arriving early. Not a flat tire, traffic accident, or (fill in the blank) is going to make me late that day. I plan on arriving early to soak it in and just acclimate myself to the day ahead of us.

Hello all! I am currently in cohort #8 and just wanted to wish you all good luck on getting an interview invite and/or the interview itself. Just be yourself and answer the questions honestly even if someone already "took" your answer. It's better to repeat an answer and explain why than to try to make one up on the spot and not sound authentic. Again, good luck!

2DaughterDaddy:

I plan on arriving early also to eliminate a little stress. We will have to look for each other. Hopefully others with the 17th interview have been reading posts but just not posting. I can't wait to meet everyone and meet more faculty and staff. I went to an information session last year and also fell in love with the staff. They really made you feel welcome and seemed to genuinely care that you succeed. See you in a couple of weeks.

SandyMickey, cubanrob, and doulajess:

Thank you for posting your experiences. It has been very helpful and gets me very excited.

Good luck to all!

Thank you cubanrob and doulajess for answering my question.

Good luck to those who are still waiting for the that last minute interview invitation!

She resent me the invitation so I'll be seeing those of you on the July 17th interview. Good luck to us all!

That's awesome and great to hear. Looks like Isyng47 and I will see you in the morning. Our July 17th forum group is now a party of three; I can't wait to meet you both!

I know this is such an important day for all of us and no matter how much we prepare I am sure we'll all have a little anxiety. Current on cloud nine, I couldn't be more excited. I be parked in the lower parking lot by the baseball field. I'll bring the Krispy Kreme and some Starbucks for an early morning pow wow. I'll be sure to have Siri remind me.

Any others for the scheduled for the July 17th interview we'll see you there. Please jump in the forum.

To Beesmama, what did they say when you asked about the invitations? Are they still sending them this week. I'm just wondering if what email they used to send out invites, because it might go straight to spam.

They told me that if we don't hear something by this afternoon today (Monday the 9th) it's safe to assume we are not moving on.

That sounds like a plan, I will see you and GambianSteph there. I was planning on parking in the Main Parking Lot since it is right next to Grimm Hall. Are you planning on heading up there or just walk from the lower lot? I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. I look forward to meeting everyone.
