Thanks for starting a new thread!

I applied to hem/onc and I'm currently precepting on their hem/onc unit. I take the NCLEX this December. Never worked as a CNA or anything, but I did clinical care extender for a year before nursing school. My pediatric clinical instructor works there and wrote me a letter so I hope it helps! They aren't taking very many so it is quite a long shot.

Hopefully they decide to accept every person who applied....a girl can dream, right?!?! I applied NICU! Have a previous bachelors in accounting and just received my ADN in June. I work at a large children's hospital as a PCA in the PICU.

Hopefully they don't drag out the wait longer then necessary. Good luck everyone!!!

Does anybody know when we will hear back...if we were chosen for an interview?

They told me 4-6 weeks from what you submitted your application

Did anyone here precept in their unit of choice?

I too applied to the Hem/Onc department. Do you know how many people they are choosing for that specific unit? I think you have a great chance since you are precepting on that unit.

I did not precept at CHOC...

She did have BSN but did not have any certifications.

I am ADN but I was accepted into an RN-BSN program.

Oh ok yeah not having certs ahead of time is their way of weeding people out nowadays. That's a bummer. I have both ACLS & PALS.

Good job on being in the ADN-BSN program! Smart move.
