Hello fellow New Grad!
Just starting a thread to communicate with others that have applied to CHOC's RN Residency starting Feb 2014! Please post stats i.e. degree, experience, unit you applied for!! Good luck everyone!! I can't wait to hear back!!
I have my ADN, but I am currently enrolled in an RN-BSN program. I was licensed in June! I applied NICU!!!
Thank you! I have the same certifications. To all please keep this forum updated with any application status changes, e-mails, and/or phone calls. It would be greatly appreciated :)[/quote']Greatly appreciated but would also make most of us more anxious. Sigh lol. CHLA has already called some people for a pre-screening and I haven't been called
hopefully within the next week!
Hello fellow new grads
I applied for PICU about 3 weeks ago and recieved a phone call yesterday (10-29/2013) to set up a time/date for an interview. I graduated with my BSN in June 2013. I have the following certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, EKG, NIH stroke scale.
Passed NCLEX in August. Interview is in 2 weeks. A confirmation email followed my conversation requesting I bring the follwoing items with me on the day of my interview: letters of recomendation, transcripts (official or unofficial), accomplishments while in nursing school/projects I was involved in, and any clinical associate background or preceptorship I was involved in.
This is my dream job! I am so excited and nervous! Hope my information helps.
Wishing each and every one of you the best of luck!
