Hi guys. I got my acceptance letter from Cerritos College but it is for a alternate admission. Anybody have been to this position. I don't know what to expect. I am schedule to take my TEAS this Friday because I haven't taken it yet. Any advice?

And what's the guarantee that I will be accepted on either fall 2014 or spring 2015??

I am studying for my TEAS, and I am also nervous and worried that my TEAS score will affect if they will pick me or not.

I called the nursing office they told me that I have a decent chance to get accepted, and it also noted on the letter that I must attend the orientation.

Making sure you attend the orientation would be your best bet.those offered admission (such as myself) and alternates are told to attend the orientation...if someone who has been offered admission does not attend the orientation, they're spot automatically is offered to an alternate. (So, since most people applied to multiple programs and potentially were accepted to more than one...chances are good that spots will free up fairly easily for alternates)...

For instance...I was accepted to the fall '14 program but before I was sent the letter I had already heard back from golden west that I was admitted ...and found out after that pasadena as well accepted me. I already officially declined my spot at pasadena...will be attending the cerritos orientation but still have been contemplating and will be contemplating sticking with my original choice of goldenwest (depending on how I feel after the cerritos orientation...I feel that will help me make my final choice) ...so there's a good chance I could free up my spot at cerritos still for an alternate shortly after orientation.

As far as your teas goes. Don't stress and take a few practice tests to study (don't get too nervous the minimal score isn't hard at all to achieve if not surpass even without studying) :)

Yes I was accepted into cerritos and also pasadena city college fall '14 ADN programs but declined my spot in both because I opted for Goldenwest for spring '15 program. (Goldenwest was my first acceptance letter I received as they had an earlier application deadline) plus it's closer to where I reside now (even though I took all my pre-reqs at PCC)

No, you cannot. Science classes are pre-req.

OK thanks. I will apply after this semester. Hopefully to get in for fall 2016. I will just take my transfer classes in the meantime and try other schools.
