Home prices have dropped a little. I wonder how far it will go.

Foreclosures are up also.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this board and just want to say what a great place this is :D. I have read many posts since finding this site last night and have seen the many negative comments about California as well. The one thing I cannot understand though is why does everyone that comments on CA think that you must live in the LA or SF areas only?

That is the same thing as me saying your state is too expensive to live because I am only looking at the most expensive areas to buy a home at in your state. California has great weather as everyone knows, but it's not limited to certain parts of the state. I don't understand people that live in little towns in whatever state they are from say, If I move to CA I have to live right on the beach. That type of reasoning is setting yourself up for failure.

My mother always told me if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all. Instead on here I see someone ask a question about california and everyone that doesn't live here has an opinion on the matter. And there opinion pertains to trying to buy a house in the most expensive areas in the state. Sorry to rant, but you folks who trash CA really need to think of what CA really has to offer.
