To all accepted CSU nursing students, please let me know what your GPA was, your TEAS score and which school(s) you were accepted to.

I am applying to CSUSM, CSUSB, CSUCI and one more but unsure.

This is my last year at a community college and my GPA is 3.85 and have not taken the TEAS test yet. Currently in A&P ll and Stats. Next semester all I need is MicroBio.

I started working as a medical scribe in August.

Let me know you're scores, insights, and thoughts.

Thanks

Regular BSN programs or accelerated BSN?

Either!:)

I applied to UCLA MECN and CSULA's ABSN/MSN program.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, but just hard stats:

3.6 GPA in undergrad

3.8 GPA for MA degree

4.0 science prereq grades

TEAS: 90th percentile (I think, but I'm not sure), but CSULA looked at the individual subject scores, not the overall percentile

Of note, I still had 2-3 prereqs in progress when I applied to both schools.

I was accepted to both schools, but UCLA and this particular program at CSULA look at more than just stats.

Thank you!

I am curious to see if I will be accepted anywhere and compare GPA. Right now it seems like a complete mystery as to who they accept. I've only heard of stories off people gettin rejected

thanks

Really, it's a matter of the pool of applicants when you apply. They take the top however many students from there. I had plenty of classmates at my CSU that had GPAs below 3.5, but I think they had good TEAS scores. We didn't discuss all of this too much. My GPA was low, but I am a veteran, so I had an exception (had to qualify still).

Thanks for the information! That;'s what people have been telling me, which makes it more of a mystery to me!

I know that only adds to the frustration. I applied to 10 schools when I first applied (all CSUs). All you can do is apply and see what happens. :) I imagine if you do well on the TEAS, you have a very good shot at getting in.
