I have worked on a sugical floor and a Med/Surg floor and would love to work OR or L/D. How hard is it right now to get a job in the valley and are the hospitals open to hiring nurses with little experience in those areas

Most require experience in the field but some just say 2 years acute care experience required.

To boost your chances you could always take classes in fetal monitoring & NRP.

What part of Arizona? Some of the very southern and very northern parts are hiring without experience.

I just relocated to the Phoenix area from the midwest a few months ago. I am experienced, have a BSN and certification, and I started looking for jobs months before we moved. I did not get many calls to interview and I am doing registry work now. I would say start looking and applying ASAP before making the move.
