UA MEPN 2017

U.S.A. Arizona

It's never too early to start talking! I'll be applying this fall for the 2017 cohort. Who else is applying? Are there any current or recent alumni that can give their insight on the program? What will the interview questions be like?

I took the HESI A2 about a month and a half ago and my cumulative score was 91, although my GPA is much lower than I hoped for to be competitive. My overall GPA is great, but unfortunately, the way it lined up the last 60 units are too hot, but my pre-req grades are excellent so I am hoping they look at the whole thing rather than hone in on the last 60 units only. We will see though. I contacted admissions and they said I wouldn't be contacted for an interview until early spring? That seemed odd to me given that previous threads stated they were contacted in December/January shortly after the deadline to ensure enough time for interviews before the cohort starts in May. Anyone else hear this?

I completed my application on the 28th of OCT, for the 2017 class. My location preference is Tucson, overall HESI score was a 92 and GPA is about 3.8.

As of today, I have not heard anything from U of A. I will definitely post anything I learn. Thanks for opening the lines of communication for our projected class.

I had reached out the CON advisor, and he said early to mid February they will contact people for interviews.

Thank you so much for this update!

Hi everyone! What are you plans after completing the MEPN program? Do you plan to pursue a MSN program? Do you plan to pursue the DNP program?

Hey everyone. I'm getting ready to take the HESI A2 exam, so I'll probably submit my application in a few weeks. My prerequisite gpa is 3.91 and my last 60 units is 3.52. I'm a little worried about my last 60 units, but definitely hopeful about getting an interview:)

My plan after completing the MEPN program is to work as an RN and, after a couple of years working, consider another degree. Ideally, I will be able to ID my strengths after getting hands on experience.

Hey everyone. I took the HESI A2 yesterday and got a 96.5%. I'm still waiting for one last prerequisite grade to post and then I'll be submitting! It is super exciting to finally be applying after months and months of prerequisite courses!

How is everybody doing?

Have you been contacted by any nursing faculty member yet?

They will be sending out interview invitations by the end of January through mid February.

Only communication I've had with them was about my last transcript being updated. She said everything was complete and good to go...

hoping they contact about the interview -.- getting nervous

Hey everyone! I haven't heard anything, but I'm not expecting to until a couple weeks after the application deadline. It's going to be a nail biting month.
