Seeking Attention....

I have thought about being a nurse on and off for some time now. But I stuggle with myself about whether I can make the cut or not. I have taken Bio 160 and struggled with that but got a B. Then I took Bio 201 but it just wasn't clicking. I dropped the class and ever since I doubt myself. Have any of you ever felt like maybe you wouldnt cut it but succeeded? I have made a firm decision to give it a try. Because I will always "what if" about it and who wants to live like that. Anyway, it would be nice to hear from people who just didn't go into nursing as if they were made for it you know? Or is it just me? Any positive feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes I studied hard for the class. Could have been that I was taking 17 credits, working fulltime and had a newborn at home.

I don't care how smart you are, but 17 credits with full time job and a baby is way too much. specially with Bio201 which is sooo time consuming. :nono: if you are not understanding what's taught in class, whats the point of taking so many classes at a time?

I'm taking Bio201 and Psy101 (7 Cre. total), working and taking care of a 6-yr-old girl. and that's just enough. I wanted to add one more class like Eng102, but I'm glad I didn't.

it's not that you are not meant to be a nurse, it's just you are not getting enough time to study and understand stuff on the text books. I'm getting A+ in Bio201 because I spend so much time on that (I haven't been able to take my daughter to her dance class lately...).

so, maybe, you may wanna re-think about how much time you should focus on each class. dropping some classes could be an option. just, don't loose confidence :)

I understand. When I had my son I thought I would just kinda jump in and make up for lost time (I know what was I thinking :icon_roll). That was about a year ago and I have been afraid to tackle Bio 201 ever since, but I am over it. I am two classes away from finishing my pre-req's so I am ready. I have my focus back.

Where are you taking Bio 201 if you don't mind me asking?

hi, west valley.

I just PMed you.

Im taking classes at Phoenix College. I like it there.

Instructors are really helping. looks like they want us to get good grades desperately :p.

Im moving to scottsdale at the end of this month, so after this semester Im gonna go to Scottsdale CC which is 5 mins away from my new house. I heard their nursing program is good, too.

That's great! I heard they have a good program.

I replied back to you. I can only cross my fingers that she teaches over the summer.
