Relocating to Tucson

U.S.A. Arizona

Specializes in Med/Surg/Tele.

Hi I am an RN working on med/tele and looking to relocate to tucson, I am not sure if being traveler or permanent staff is the way to go, which hospital has the best opportunities, would like to enhance career and work with awesome people, any suggestions?

Specializes in Cardiac.

For med/tele I would pick UMC since they have ratios...

Go work for UMC. I work at UMC on a tele unit. I work on 7 west which is a step down trauma unit and we also recieve transplant patients. We have 4:1 and 3:1 ratios. I'm a newer nurse but I really enjoy working there. I already have my ACLS after being a nurse for only a few months (which my friend who works up in northern arizona says his hospital requires 2 year exp before you can get your ACLS). The PCT's are great and very helpful and there is a great atmosphere on the day shift between staff, and the unit manager is cool too. I also find it very easy to communicate with the med interns and residents at the hospital too. You should look into it.
