Phoenix college wait list

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi everyone! I have just finished my pre reqs at Phoenix college and was wondering what their wait list is like. (At all the Maricopa colleges). Thanks for all the information in advance. How do you like the program? What are classes like? How long to actually go to classes???

I beleive wait is a semester to two semesters.

If you can do the University concurrent enrollment program, you will not have to wait as long. Some people I know who are only doing the ADN have had to wait 2 years just to get in to the program.

If you choose 3-5 choices for your schools of choice, you have 1-2 semester wait.

I will be starting Block 3 at phx college nursing. Block 1 was hard because its new and if you do not learn how to take "application based" exams then you will have issues passing. Block 2 was hard but not as stressful as Block 1 (i didn't cry as much). I liked the teachers in both blocks, they all have their own way of teaching, some better than others but you will find that anywhere. Don't fall behind is my biggest advise.. study for at least 2 hours every single day, study NCLEX questions everyday, figure out a way to learn pharm, this has been the hardest for me. Get the Pearson Reviews & rationales book for Block 2 as this is like the big med/surg book you will have without all the fluff. I pray a lot, but that's just me. God got me here and I know He will see me thru till the end, I just don't worry about it, I take care of my part (studying, making it to class, doing my best in clinicals) and leave the rest to God. Also, I was on a 2.5 year wait list.. some of my classmates were on a 1/2 semester waitlist and the people I know that were in the concurrent program with ASU said "Don't do it!!!!".. they have since dropped it. Good luck!
