so i have a question about bevill also... my grades are currently as listed:

a&p1 b

a&p2 c

micro b

bio 103 c

chemistry a

mth100 c

From what i understand with how they pick for the program, the only classes they look at really are the sciences and math, but they do look at the other classes and you are given more points if you have completed all these classes prior to the application being submitted. also on my teas test, i made a 72.7%=109.5 on other schools scales... the lady told me that they look to see if u have above a 2.5 then they send out letters inviting you to take the teas v test then they make their selection based on the lever( developing, proficient, advanced,ect..) can anyone tell me how true this is? do i stand a good chance of getting in?

To my understanding Bevill looks at your the pre required courses you have left to complete(they all don't have to be completed but its best if they are), your GPA, and the TEAS score. Good Luck to You!!!

so theyre not on a "point system" per se'"?

When I applied I didn't see anything about a point system. I know Jeff State and Lawson State does the point system. I have looked in my nursing packet and there is nothing there about it. Sorry i couldn't be of more help. But I'll try to answer anymore questions that you may have. You can also call the Nursing Dept tomorrow for better answers.

So would u mind telling me... If it's not to personal... How your grades looked when u apples? And teas score. I'm really just trying to see if I stand a good chance. Not trying to get into your business or anything. Because I know I can apply for summer at jeff state and substitute my A in chemistry for my C in 202.

Yes they are on a point system but it would not be included in your packet!!!

Not really. The lady who I talked to told me they give points like to courses completed. Not like straight points (30,20,10) like jscc and wacc, and lscc does

Yeah but its points....I just graduated from their nursing program and when I was accepted the cut was 125 points anybody with points less than that didnt make the 1st cut but they do go back and let more people in if they have enough room and usually they have over 90 students at each campus but this year may be different since there isnt enough clinical instructors

So how did u like the program? Was it hard? Were the teachers really helpful? Does it make a difference which campus your at?

Yes the program is hard but its only because it's so much informartion and each campus is different because of their teaching styles I was @ Sumiton and Hamilton....Sumiton and Jasper campus you will have to read everything @ Hamilton they cover everything just like Sumiton/Jasper but the test questions mostly come from the main points....I liked all of the teachers except one because of her attitude...how she came into the program I want call a name but if you get in you'll see for yourself and Im pretty sure you will here the horror stories about her but dont let that scare or discourage you just do your work and finish the program!!!

typo on last post I meant to say hear not here!!

Well hopefully I get in. I'm also looking into doing respitatory therapy as a backup if I don't get into any nursing school by summer or fall! Then going back to get my adn in nursing.
