1.a nurse here in the philippines i would like to take the

nclex-rn exam for the state of vermont could you please tell me where i could find the application of this nclex exam and what are the requirements?.

2. can i ask if the fingerprint card is still needed for the application

3. .is the state of vermont will send me the application package or they email me?please help im confused...........

Please have a good read here again and see what we keep posting, there is no application for the NCLEX exam, so there is no way for anyone to send it to you.

You can go to the website for VT and download the application for Licensure by Examination from there and complete that. You must have permission from them to sit for the NCLEX exam. There is no mention on the application as it being an application for the exam, it is for licensure as an RN, and only that.

If you are not going to work in VT, then I would think again on selecting that state as well as knowing that it is going to be more than five years before you even have a chance of getting to work in the US legally. There just are not any visas available and there are many more ahead of you already and less than 10,000 per year when they are available. Would highly recommend that you focus on going to another country first to get experience as we are expecting that to become a requirement here once again soon.

Also suggest that you take the time to read the Primer at the top of this forum for information that you need to be aware of.

Can you please elaborate some important and pertinent informations why should you take your NLCEX in Vermont aside from being a Vermont resident? A classmate of mine also may took the upcoming NCLEX in Vermont. Goodluck toyou all! Please share your valuable ideas.

As mentioned, the exam is a national exam, so which state that you write it for really does not make any difference not where you write it.

If you are not going to be working there, then there really is no good reason to go thru there as you will be spending much time and money trying to endorse to the state where you will be working.

Add into it the fact that you are looking at five years at the minimum before having a chance to get to the US. It is no longer a done deal if you pass the exam and even find an employer. There are many more from your country that wish to work in the US but not enough visas to go around, and that is not going to change. The US has a limit to the number that can come per year.

Im just waiting for the release of my license and change of status (single to married )... Before, I wanted to take all the exams needed for abroad before looking for a local hospital job for me to be able to focuse on my review for NCLEX. But now, i get bored and wanted to look for a job since I haven't pass my application for Vermont licensure yet... Can anyone help me decide wether...

1, I review first and take all the necessary exams, or

2. look for a job first then if I already pass my application for licensure, stop/resign from working and review for the exam

Please, I really need an opinion from you. Hope to hear from all of you soon. Your advices will be highly appreciated... Thank You and God Bless Us Nurses!

You are looking at five years plus before even having a chance to get to the US, it is now longer an automatic done deal, so even if you have found an employer after you pass the NCLEX exam, there is no proof that they are going to need you several years from now and you may see your contract cancelled or stiffer requirements put in place by the US that we are expecting to see come into place sooner than later.

Do not quit any job that you have, that would be a bad thing to do at this point.

Hi fellow nurses,happy newyear to you all.Am a nurse/midwife residing in saudi arabia wishing to apply for licensure in vermont.I have already filled the forms but confused with method of payment,though saw a reply for someone with similar question but notwell cleared with it.Does it mean i have post the money together with the form and how safe is that.pls i really would like to be cleared.Thanks

I would suggest a bankers draft made payable to Vermont Secretary of State. I would not recommend you send money through the post

Welcome to the site

Please remember you are not applying for NCLEX but to be a licensed RN in the US of which NCLEX is part of that process. Previous poster has provided the link
