hey guys! has anyone hear of PINOYCARE VISA CENTER? or who applied their services? I recently attended their orientation seminar here in davao city and they said that the CIC would shell out immigrant visas for nurses for as early as 9 months, is this true?

Hello Jazsle,

I am one of the applicants of Pinoycare. I am now under medical because embassy already asked me to do so and also for me to pay the landing fee. In fairness they did a great job in the documentation otherwise I would not be able to reach this stage. Actually, they are not offering any job at all. I have to look for my own job when I get there. All they do is assist in the documentation.I know that they are legitimate company because they have a very nice and big office in cebu and also in davao and manila. So to other applicants, dont worry but just coooperate with them.. Jazsle thanks for the info, more power and see you there soon...

Jazsle:

I am a Canadian, married to a native of Bohol. Two of our "working students" passed the NLE June 09, so I am looking at options for them to go abroad. In talking to other nurses here, I found out about this Pinoy Care, which some of them signed up with after they attended a seminar.

In Canada we have a saying - Buyer Beware!, so I am wary of "consultants".

Can you answer some questions about the seminar?

1) Did they state what their total charges would be - what was their figure?

2) What do you get for this money? For example, do they say that they will find you a job as a nurse within x months, and get you a proper visa? (see below)

3) Did they give out contact information for people they have successfully placed, so you could check up with them?

The Pinoy Care Visa Center website is under construction, but earlier I was able to carefully look at it. They seem to be tied into a Canadian Immigration Consultancy, Rosenblatt Associates and employment agencies, Caregivers.ca, for one.

If Pinoy Care gets you a job as a caregiver, there are some possible problems -

1)Caregivers are not paid nearly as well as nurses.

2)If you get into Canada on the live-in caregiver program, you may be bound by a two-year contract. If you work as a caregiver for two years, planning to then apply for registration as a nurse, realize that most nursing associations require recent nursing experience before they grant a license. Check the provincial nursing association requirements!

Canada, like most of the rest of the world, is in recession. Healthcare is a major expense for the government, so they are cutting back. There are hiring freezes, and even layoffs in the health care fields. A lot of care facilities are now hiring LPNs, rather than RNs, because of the lower pay scales.

So, after all is said and done, the question remains - should you use this agency?

If you have good answers to the above questions, and not just a lot of double-talk, are able to check with previous clients, and don't feel up to applying on your own, then I would say, go ahead. What value for money do they provide that you couldn't do on your own?

Sorry for the longwinded response, but I hope this gives something to think about.

guys...i have a friend who applied with them...according to her there were promises but there were no results.. she was tricked on paying first before the contract was presented to her and the visa kit ...guys take note, she was asked to pay first before the agency could assist her, so my friend had no choice but to sign the contract with them because she already paid in full..now that she wants to back out from the deal they only give excuses such as the owner or person in charge was not around and they can't do anything..now the agency is not even responding to her anymore...it seems that they are only interested with the money and not to helping as they promised... her 65K was gone in an instant..

hi

Im one of the clients of pinoycare. I got my visa just few days ago!!!to my fellow nurses, apply now,,sure you will make it coz I DID!!!

It is not necessary to use a agency. The paperwork is easy to complete and there are clear instructions on the CIC website. I suggest a good read on the CIC website

I totally disagree with you because true you can apply directly to the embassy but you will just be denied because of wrong documentation. Its not easy and very complicated. One mistake in the forms, in the entries and even in how you present your papers will cause denial to the embassy. From my own experience i did it on my own but I failed so now that one firm is helping me, i am now in the 3rd stage which is for personal interview. I was shocked with the way they presented my documents- amazing and for sure i cant do it on my own. Hope this will serve us an information to my co RNs. God bless

hi, i am currently in process of getting an immigrant visa thru PinoyCare. i am sure you've (silverdragon) heard of this. i am quite frustrated already with how long they're taking. it's going to be 6 months already since i applied for their service but they haven't even done their job.

anyway, i was just wondering since boardshorts mentioned the whole irrelevance of the point system as long as you belong to the top 38 professions they are looking for, if i have to retake my IELTS exam. i took the exam last 2007 and so it'll expire next year. i didn't get lower than 7.0 in my speaking, listening and reading, but i got a 6.0 in my writing :o i've heard that they would require at least 6.5 score in each area. i'm not really sure about that though. i'm still contemplating if i have to retake the exam or not?

I feel sorry for you but why dont you contact them because they are very warm and accommodating. There are new guidelines for IELTS. have faith with Pinoycare. I am now STAGE 3 with them. Just hold on. God bless...

yup, i paid for their service in full last June 2009. Up to now, they still haven't finished working on my papers which they were supposed to be done with 5 months ago. They said in d orientation that the encoding would only take a month at most and then we would do the 1 yr or less countdown for the visa itself na. However that's not what happened. I'm not really sure what happened, but their excuse was that they moved to a new address that's y it got delayed and my analyst resigned (without informing me),so the work was on hold without no one to immediately replace him while he was on d process of taking care of his moving out of the country (to canada). I had to be direct with their head of documentation and she admitted that they are presently trying to catch up with all the work and there's been a delay coz they are proiritizing those who are about to be deployed. Thus, leaving other applicants in a very long line of waiting... MONTHS of waiting! I was very disappointed with their service and lack of communication. I had to call the office just to get a response from them (especially from my previous analyst).

I am still hoping they would get to finish it before the year ends.. but I doubt they'll be able to do that. So, hopefully there would be a progress in January coz it's over half a year already. Definitely not something I imagined when i signed up with them.

Their service offer is good... but how long it takes them to get the job done (which is only encoding your documents for the embassy) is so not worth the cash you'll pay them, especially if you can do it yourself (ex: you live in manila, wherein you have the privilege/convenience to go to the embassy yourself anytime). If you have someone who has an idea with the immigrant application, it's better to ask assistance from them. A lot of people has done it themselves and it would take you faster to get your visa (as long as you do it all right) rather than hire and pay other ppl to do it and it would take forever.

But, if you're in no hurry to leave the country, and you'd rather have someone else take care of the whole process, i guess it wouldn't hurt to hire them. It's only frustrating for me coz I expected i would be leaving in a year at most.. NOT TWO, because of the time frame they gave with their service during the orientation. Oh well...

It took sometime for them to lodge me too but now i understand..because they changed new employees, transferred to bigger office and they had a 3 month audit to improved their services. Now I just submitted my papers for full application for stage 2. Hope this encourages you

we have the same problem, i paid them sept 2009, sent all my papers oct 2009, i thought it was gonna be quick, like the moment i submit all my papers they would immediately send it to the central intake unit but no. i dunno what's going on, but i think and i am hoping they're legit. do you know anyone who has left already?

hi everybody!!!

i am now in toronto, canada with the help of pinoycare! of course they are legitimate! but i still dont have a job here because i didnt avail the services of ussi which is affiliated with them. its your turn guys..

hi im from davao today is jan 9 2010, we just attended a pinoy care seminar . its very alluring

-the professional fee is p75,000

-if you apply within 7 days you pay only p65,000

-then they have a raffle that you get 50% discount. 3 attendies got lucky.

-only a down payment is required for p20,000 and the remaining should be paid within the next 15 days.

-they will give you the pinoy care kit after payment, original receipt and a moa.

i have my doubts since its to cheap compare to others so i was hoping someone here can enlighten me with their/your experience with pinoy care.

crossing my fingers here!!

hello...
