NVC -CP- GC Tracker

World Immigration

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

And my NCLEX results will expire Jan 2008. I just hope my lawyer would get in touch with me like gracie08's agency did. I already applied for another NBI and downloaded the forms... Do we need do resubmit birth certificates, marriage cert. photos, etc.... Another question is where do I get a Police clearance? Thanks!

Hi Fruity,

Renew your NBI Certificate. That is enough. But if you worked or been outside the Philippines for more than 6 month, then you must need a Police Clearance from that Country.

Hope this help.

Hi guys! My agency asked me to submit an updated DS230, NBI clearance and police clearance per NVC instructions. They said that it's a new policy from NVC, eventhough my case was already completed. I'll just update you guys of any developments.

OMG, we need to submit an update DS230 again even if our packet 3 has been completed already last year? this is really frustrating. this will just delay our application and we have a bigger chance of not getting a visa for the second time because of the incoming retrogression. My lawyer did not advise me to submit an updated one. according to her, I don't need to submit again since I got an approval already. I am really confuse right now.

hi guys,

this is the email i received from NVC. this sucks.

Good afternoon,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC is waiting for form I-864 (Affidavit of Support) to be completed by the petitioner. The petitioner must complete a Form I-864, regardless of the petitioner's income level. Please have the petitioner complete this form and return it according to the instructions so that we may continue processing this file.

Please visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html to download a copy of the I-864 and/or the instructions. If you do not have access to the internet, you may wish to visit your local library or an internet café.

We are waiting for the form DS-230 (Application for Immigrant Visa). The applicant must complete this form and send it to this office so that we may continue processing this file.

Does anybody know the answer to this one?

A nurse got interviewed at the embassy last October 2006. She did not have her VisaScreen yet. Her passport was returned and the consul asked her to send the required document. She sent the VS December 2006 to the embassy deep in the winter of Retro '06. The reply was that there were no visas available. Her PD is Feb. 2006. Now that the VB is Current, will she be given a visa immediately? Or will she still have to refile an updated DS 230 back to NVC? :uhoh3:

Hi There Guys,

Prior to retrogression, NVC informed that they have received all the necessary papers and will inform me re: interview

When I asked NVC regarding my status a few days ago : They Informed me that they are waiting for the affidavit of support and my ds 230. Does this mean Im still in Packet 3? Any inputs?

Leis 23...We got the same message:idea:

hi, tricia07. i don't think we need I-864 or affidavit of support. only family-based visas need affidavit of support, i think. but i could be wrong.

Thats what I thought too but from:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

It stated: The Affidavit of Support is legally required for the petitioning sponsor for many family-based and "some employment based immigrants" to show the intending immigrant will have adequate means of support, when planning to immigrate to the U.S.

Read the words clearly. You are the one being petition by your sponsor. Your sponsor is the one who will provide the I-864 if ever NVC ask for it and I think before they have applied your petition they already submitted it if indeed it is a requirement.
