NVC -CP- GC Tracker

World Immigration

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Date of entry in the US :???

God bless!

Hi, Thanks for your reply. In my case I have a year and a half way back 1996 but my agency is not accepting that. He wants me to get 6 more months at least as a volunteer nurse before they will submit my DS230. I have everything already except nclex. In fact, they didn't even spend anything for my visa screen unlike other applicants they have at the moment. What do you think should I do? What if they will really hold my application for 6 more months until I can provide them a current certificate of employment?

It is so unfair. Your agency is holding you hostage because of the requirement of current nursing experience. You can not leave this agency because that would be a breach of contract.

I think you can just tell this agency that they better submit your ds-230 now and in the meantime you will start your six months volunteer work in a hospital. This is easily done if you do not have a current job.

Frankly, if they did not spent for your visa screen , etc. You have the right also to demand them to do their job and just submit the ds-230 forms.

The agency is wasting valuable time because of a requirement that is not even important in the visa procesing. To them, yes! but to NVC, NO!

Good luck!

Thanks, I will do that. You're such a help. I'm starting to lose hope already. I feel it's a blackmail. I have already inquired and one hospital is flexible with their schedules for volunteer nurses. I am currently working, you know how tough it is to survive in the Philippines. It's not easy to give up my job. I hope my agency will already consider it. I will start 1st week of November.

If your ds-230 forms were sent to NVC this August then you have to wait at least a month before you can get an interview date. December is a probable date for you. Those who submitted their ds-230 before August have stared getting their Packet 4.

my agency forwarded my ds230 at nvc last august 2005, last sept. 21 i have sent an e-mail to nvc asking about the status of my papers their reply is " all of the documentation has been received. as soon as an interview date has been scheduled i will be notified. again last october 24 nvc responded to my querry telling me the same statement " all of the documentation has been received, as soon as an interview date has been scheduled i will be notified. they didnt tell me if my papers are case completed. To my knowledge before you can be scheduled for interview your papers must be case completed by nvc. Im thinking of it because if i am still not case completed by nvc so why does the nvc is telling me that i wil be notified once an interview date has been scheduled. what does it mean when they say all of the documentation has been received? does it mean that i am already case completed by nvc? pls reply i need some ideas & opinion. thanks!

The requirement really greatly varies from one agency to another they have specific EXTRA requirements to protect their own interest. Remember that these are business and they have to ensure the return of their investment. some agencies are upfront with the extras but unfortunately most of agencies will tell you once your "hooked" and will be difficult for you to back out.

maybe the saying "beggars cannot be choosers" is an extreme but really you have no option but to comply. Maybe in the long run you will thank your agency on imposing a six month minimum experience.

Just tryto look it in a positive light although it is very frustrating and difficult. Hold on, you are on the final stretch.

God bless!

I guess that's the best way to look at it at this time. I will be working double, keeping my current job to earn a living and working as a volunteer nurse to earn an experience. I just hope that at the end of it all, I will soon see the light. I am praying that they will continue to process my papers. I will try to call NVC some time next week to check if my agency have already sent my DS230. I hope they did...... :crying2: Thanks.... nice hearing from you. Appreciate it very much.

Trust me, NVC will inform you through your employer, lawyer, agency a month before your interview date by sending the Packet 4.

With visas current, it will take around two to three months after the submission of packet 3 to NVC for you to receive the packet 4.

Good luck, you are nearly there.

dear all,

i just inquired nvc thru automated response system today regarding my case and they told me that my case has been reviewed but there are missing or incomplete information. they already sent a letter dated nov. 3, 2005 containing the what are the missing or incomplete documents/information. does anybody here experience this? can anybody share what are the usual reasons for this? as far as i know i submitted all the required documentations.

this is to give you an additional background of my case:

uscis receipt (pd): february, 2004

nvc receives packet 3 from lawyer: october 7, 2005

nvc case completion: not yet...missing or incomplete information/documents

anybody here experienced using ds230 forms downloaded from the internet? the ds230 forms we used were downloaded from the internet. actually, i have received a letter from nvc 1st week of october (the same week when nvc received our packet 3 from the lawyer), the letter contained the ds230 forms for my husband and son to fill out, but since we already submitted the ds230 forms we downloaded from the internet, i just kept the ds230 forms (with barcode) from nvc thinking that forms sent were alright. the letter also contains a front page which states that we must return the page to avoide delay in processing. what i did was to email nvc rightaway and this was their reply:

good afternoon,

to avoid unnecessary delay, please do not send downloaded forms. copies of downloaded forms may be rejected and/or returned. nvc will send all required documents for completion.

national visa center is unable to complete the processing of this case without the requested documentation. please send the requested documentation to nvc.

regards,

do you think the problem is we used downloaded forms? anybody here experienced using ds230 forms from the internet? please enlighten me on this matter.

thank you.

wellborn

Hi Wellborn,

What exactly is the difference from the ds-230 forms that you downloaded from the internet to the ones sent by NVC? My friend is also the same boat as yours.

Question No. 1

Does each of the DS-230 forms for you, your husband and your son conatains a BAR CODE on each form?

Question No. 2

What is contained on the first page that you must include to return together with the rest of the forms to NVC? Is it the page that contains the BAR CODE that was generated from NVC?

Question No. 3

Did you already paid all the NVC fees?

I was thinking that the only reason why there are lacking documents stated by NVC is because you failed to return that page that contains the BAR CODE that was generated by NVC. It is somehow weird when your lawyers did not advise you on that matter.
