NVC -CP- GC Tracker

World Immigration

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Date of entry in the US :???

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

hi everyone,

would anybody of you have any idea regarding the documents required in the airport immigration from immigrant nurses? i understand that we will have to bring our xray films but other than that,is there anything still that we need to prepare during our departure? i hope you can give me some vital informations. thank you very much! :)

Ms.Nightingale

Please refer to "Visa worries" thread. All your predeparture questions and need will be answered by the CFO.

nurse dependent,

i am not really sure about this...but my understanding is that the NVC will only send the DS-230 forms once the visa fee is paid. what you filled up is just a copy of the ds-230...the original DS-230 documents from NVC (as i believe contains a SECURITY BAR CODE INFORMATION which is only printed and generated once the visa fee is paid)... as specified the lawyers would put the information on the DS-230 with the security code from NVC and send it back to you again for FINAL SIGNATURES...just to make sure that all info are correct and precise and then you send it back to the lawyers, you're lawyers FINAL CHECKS your forms and then sends it back to NVC...

comments anyone? (correct me if i am wrong) i think medrep rey can comment on this one...

this is how we did it:

- 2 months ago, we filled up (wife, me, daughter) individual DS230s.

- agency "formalized" our handwritten DS230s and had us check the informations.

- we re-checked the forms and signed it (part I only).

- apparently, the DS230s were immediately sent to the lawyers in cali.

- in the copy of the the packet 3 instructions provided us, it stated that "...you must send a completed Application for Immigrant Visa (DS-230 Part I) along with the enclosed sheet bearing the case number and barcode information in the enclosed envelope..."

- they gave us a separate copy of that "enclosed sheet bearing the case number and the barcode information," the NVC BARCODE SHEET which states " You MUST RETURN THIS PAGE with the completed DS-230 PartI, supporting documents and I-864, if applicable to..."

- the barcode sheet also contains the case number and the EX visa classification (printed on top of the actual barcode).

- they also gave us individual copies of the payment coupons (wife's, paid for by the agency, mine and daughter's paid for personally) for the fee bill.

unless there is another "special DS-230 form" contained in the packet 3, the forms we signed were submitted by the lawyers to the NVC (together with the other requirements).

this is how the agency does it with all their other applicants. we'll know in 6-8 weeks if what the agency did will cause any problem with our application. just got NVC confirmation (through phone) that they have received P3, sep. 23!

comments are encouraged, please.

thanks!

Dale and Nurse Dependent,

The Instructions Packet for Immigrant Visa Applicants ( packet 3 ) contains the original DS-230 forms, a letter and instructions from NVC, and a BAR Coded SHEEt containing your visa case number.

When you filled and signed the DS-230 forms provided by the NVC, you will write on the upper portion of the all documents, ds-230 forms and birth, marriage and NBI clearance the visa case number as instructed in the letter.

The NVC do not acept any downloaded form of the DS-230 forms, what they want you to fill up is the ds-230 forms they sent to you together with the BAR Coded Sheet. In my opinion, your lawyer will have you fill up the forms as my agent did to me. The one you filled up will not be used.

You place the BAr Code Sheet on the front of the documents you will submit to NVC.

Nurse Dependent,

You can start the two to four months time frame for the packet 4 to arrive. As for me, I am still waiting for that. I have received my packet 3 in January 2005 but have submitted it more than two months ago. The reason I did not submit it earlier was because of the retrogression.

service center: Pd nov. 15, 2004

uscis approval: Jan. 27, 2005

Packet 3 arrived: July 23, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC: 1st week of august 2005

Sept. 21, 2005 ( e-mail: from NVC): all documentation has been received. as soon, interview date has been scheduled i will be notified.

NVC case completion: ?

packet 4:?

consular interview: ?

I am just wondering if 50,000 recap visa will be available to me and i will no longer be affected by another future retrogression. will there still be EX category applicant will be scheduled for consular interview starting October 2005 as long schedule A is current? because EB3 cut off date by october 2005 is march 2001.

You should be okay, as you already have an approval date, but unfortunately, none of us have crystal balls.

Hi you all: I was wondering if anyone of you could help. I already had my Consular interview, and everything was Ok, except for one little thing. My daughter is 16 years old, and in my country minority is up to 18, That is, minors aren't enforceable by law, they don't commit crime. For this reason it's illegal to issue a Police Certificate to a minor. I explained this to the Consulate General, and she understood the situation.

She said she had to forward the question to the DOS for permition. Until the permition arrives, the visas won't be issued. Has anyone of you had a situation like this? I also asked at several Goverment Offices and apparenly there isn't a substitute certificate that could be issued. What else could I do? Thank you all

If your country doesn't have the document, then there is nothing that can be done on your end. The person that you met with, is just doing her job, she has to get an okay from the people above her.

I know of someone who got his packet 4 a month after he submitted his Packet 3. So I agree the average could be 8 weeks.
